The upcoming Anime adaptation is probably going to end with this Hilde plot i guess?

i want to think that as well, but cramming 50+ chapter worth materials into 12 episodes...i can't see it happen anyway other than being rushed which is one thing i wish they should avoid
but then again, i came here after 2nd episode, and it looked like they covered about 7 chapters, which by calculation brings us about 40 chapters for 1st season, which is not really an ideal place to end the season, and they even have hilde on the opening, so it looks what is happening in these chapters will likely be the season finale

Well, you are comparing that based on the Manga, which is usually more stretched out plot.

But based on the Light Novel, the Anime adaptation is only going to cover on two volumes, aka., Vol.1 & Vol.2, which is pretty standard amount for any LN to Anime adaptation.
