When you get down to it, this chapter is pretty much the make it or break moment for readers regarding Hahari. Cause while she is certainly intense in her behavior, how you view the behavior this chapter is ultimately reflective of how you likely already viewed her and will continue to view her.
For me, her behavior for the most part here is actually
chaste. The closest it comes to being sexualized is the breast feeding, a trait I remind you she's exhibited as far back as her first joining the group and even leaping for joy when Kurumi sucked on her "mommy milkers", but that has less to do with Hahari deriving sexual pleasure from the family being
babies and more just her own pleasure from the sensation of being breastfed on, which if anything is just something else she has in common with
Hakari: tactile stimulation.
As for the kissing Hakari and Rentarou as babies... I
would have more of a problem with that were it not for two factors:
- The little side panel on Page 6 makes it look like its less "french kissing" and more her peppering Hakari with kisses, with Hakari herself laughing likely from feeling tickled over it.
- It's meant to ultimately be just an expression of Hahari's affection rather than sexual lust, since it's established she would actually french kiss her Teddy Baby as a child until her mom had the line have their mouths sewn shut then replaced Hahari's so she would stop. While it certainly can look weird, it's ultimately meant to be representative of how much she truly loves Hakari and Rentarou, she just has so little restraint she ends up going overboard.
When you get down to it, most of this chapter is Hahari just living out her desire to be a mother raising "her" baby(s) again. Raising baby Hakari is something she both massively enjoyed yet also used as a coping mechanism to deal with the grief over Papari's death, and being with the Rentarou Family broke down her emotional walls, bringing out not just her unrestrained side, but also the self-loathing and feelings of grief she thought she'd move past. We've seen the former before like in Chapter 79, but that chapter also established that Hahari at her core is a "kind and motherly" person. And with how she considers that to be one of the greatest parts of her life and when she first felt genuinely happy again after the loss of Papari, it's little wonder she wants to relive it. With her affection for the Rentarou Family as a whole thrown into the mix, the two feelings end up melding and resulting in her wanting to
mother the family. It even explains her enjoyment over having her breasts sucked and changing diapers: they're both sensations she associates with being a mother that reliving ends up filling her with joy.
The only moment that truly feels iffy was her effectively gassing the whole room without consent, namely because in the past consent has been a
major factor behind Hahari's antics and whether she goes through with them, but ultimately this chapter was just an eccentric woman who feels euphoria from the idea of getting to be mother again deciding to indulge herself and, when looking at how she cares for each and every baby, demonstrates she
is a good if weird mother.
