Seems like it'll be kinda similar to another series. I can't remember the name but the overall setting was the MC getting dragged into other "incomplete stories" because the original protagonist either failed or left. The first trio of plots involved him getting caught up with a twin tail alien, a summoning ritual, and his childhood friend being an esper or something. It was a romcom harem and Google isn't helping me find the title name unfortunately.
