Lmao, he's such a nice gentleman, he would never do that out his own volition! Lol
I think the idea is that it's a gateway drug for young people, and there are already less harmful ways of getting nicotine such as gum and patches. That, and the tobacco lobby trying to prevent competition. How are those illegal but smoking isn't??? Insane
Absolutely. Kids are poison.Don't smoke kids. It's poison.
in my home country (before i came to the us) everyone smoked, i smoked back when i was like 15 or something. i dont really do it much anymore but part of the reason is because its addictive and if all the adults in your life do it then you will too when you grow up its not very stigmatized in literally any other country (it should be though). in america teens get into smoking these days cuz its like counter culture "coolness" and then those people become the next generation of smoking adults. The whole world, honestly.
Is one of those thing that I don't understand why it is so normalized. It's supposed to be 'stigmatized', but we all know it isn't. Same with drinking alcohol, but I think smoking is even worse
do not be naïve, it is partly illegal here there I live, Mother Russia that is, and everyone still vapes, cause there is several loopholes to how to sell premade vapes with nicotine, and also juices sell with an add-on of nicotine for freeEdit: I just found out the sale of Vapes and Ejuice with nicotine is illegal in Japan.. so no Vapes in Japan I suppose.
Personally, I find drinking infinitely worse and infinitely more normalized. Smoking where I'm from is not frowned upon or anything, but not a lot of people do it (especially young adults) and it's not ever really a problem. The whole world, honestly.

Buddy I'm from Latin America. Here teenagers drink, smoke and have sex at 12 years old just to look cool and...in america teens get into smoking these days cuz its like counter culture "coolness" and then those people become the next generation of smoking adults.
... because kids do what they see. Addictions and sex are so normalized, that kids don't question if they should do it, and when they reach the age they start questioning everything they already are addicted. Plus, in media like music (sadly, reggaeton and trap are the most popular genre here), TV, etc, there's so much addictions, sex, drugs and so, that kids, as I said, dont't question it and start doing those things at a very young age. It's very sad to see 13 yo kids drunk or smokingall the adults in your life do it then you will too when you grow up
Excessive smoking DO hurts people around you. They still inhale the smoke. But yeah, I see your point. I mean, you don't crash yout car if you smoke, but if you drink alcohol...Excessive smoking only hurts yourself, excessive drinking hurts everyone around you. I know which one I'd rather tolerate. And in moderation, I don't really care much either way as long as people don't smoke directly into my face.
Smoking is already established, vaping is something new and can be stopped early. Nevermind that vaping is less harmful both to the user and to the people around them. Much like snus, a very popular way of getting your nicotine fix here in Sweden while being illegal in the rest of EU.How are those illegal but smoking isn't??? Insane
People here tend to be respectful and not smoke around non-smokers, so second hand smoke isn't really that big a deal. Bars and such usually also have rooms specifically for smokers.Excessive smoking DO hurts people around you. They still inhale the smoke. But yeah, I see your point. I've never drink a single drop of alcohol, and I don't plan to do so
Yeah I think China is way worse, I say this because I saw a video on youtube about a teenager who went to a electronic addition camp and he was smoking quite naturally. Which way threw me off.It always throws me off how casual Japan is when it comes to smoking.
Despite it being illegal, there's a lot of actual nicotine vape out there in Japan, mostly because it's only illegal to sell it domestically, so people just buy it from outside and hoard them, but most people still prefer actual cigarette (and IMHO I prefer that to vaping), most of the people you see vaping in Japan are foreignerI mean with all the dead end jobs most people have, I don't blame them
I do wonder if Vaping over there has caught on more like out here in the states
Edit: I just found out the sale of Vapes and Ejuice with nicotine is illegal in Japan.. so no Vapes in Japan I suppose.
A JP vtuber I watch stopped smoking and switched to nicotine-free vaping, which are I guess better for her health. Or at least not as bad. I think it's slowly catching on in Japan in general.I mean with all the dead end jobs most people have, I don't blame them
