It's the mangaka choice to give focus on them, in the novel they don't show much because we see more focus on Souta's adventures. Mangaka sacrificed those to write an original story with the hero's party and give them character development.

Tsukishima win against Ashikaga, but his goal is to draw Souta out, however he fails because Souta shows up with a mask and cloak that makes him immune to appraisal skills. He shows up, humiliates Tsukishima with his PVP skills, and leaves.

Unfortunately, Kaoru is the mangaka favorite heroine so she's not going to cuck Souta or show any sort of interest in another male character, I think it's obvious.
Also, I don't expect Souta to romance the other heroines as well.

Like how many more times can you tell your reader about the treatment of these people? I understand it as a trope but to use it time and time again with little to no progression BECAUSE of it...makes no sense to me.

In the beginning, he chose to not interfere with the Hero's team (because of the plot) and thus ended up managing to avoid Tsukishima's attention.
In the Exam, he went for the loser event and by staying on his shoes he managed to befriend Akira Tenma a powerful ally (one of the strongest heroines) and also Kotone Kuga. He got first place and raised the favorability with all the heroines and since he was on a team with Akira Tenma he also managed to avoid getting attention from the Evil Nobles.
And here it's the same.

In the manga, his sister goes to help the class during the exam without his knowledge or permission so his "protect the plot" retardation means absolute jackshit. If she didn't come, most of the class including the heros would be dead or maimed for life right now. So what is the excuse for that? Story compeletely ignores this and still tries to paint his inaction as some 5head planning.

Story derailed to complete HELL with major world powers already acting out way out of line. in the background His stupidity and ignorance is shown as such in the WN after this retard once again finds himself in the middle of a major event that didn't exist in the game (talking about the holy empire attach of the skyscrapper). Not much going on here though considering how different the plot has been going with character focus. (aka Kaoru)
