Oh, so it's not a "relatable blank slate guy standing up for himself" fantasy, it's more of a "actually secretly overpowered all along" kind of fantasy. That's alright then.

The frustrating thing is I can already reasonably predict that the harem will eventually resolve with him and Rua ending up together, somehow.

Close the DOOR, dumbass.

Ain't gonna lie, the first part of this made me think this was like an anime John Wick. The moron fmc clowning around on the mc who's evidently a complete badass on the side that can flip everything upside down now that he doesn't have to hold back.

Then we get to the last few pages that dashed my hopes. The John Wick plotline here would've been hilarious as a twist.

ill never understand MC's like this, its not lack of self confidence because he knows how good he is, its not "thats my fetish" since he had no interest in it, hes just so incredibly apathic that he just accepted abuse because the amount of effort of not getting abused was too much for him
It seems more like he was sort of "bred" for it, no? Like, basically trained for life as her shadow and eventual husband?

sure but it seems to be a role he took on willingly and had nothing actually keeping him there in any way

What part of childhood friend is friendly about her? I will never understand why stories like these are so highly rated. Simply put a loser guy loner without friends in some school and give him harem of super popular girls that for whatever reason love this weird loner. Is this some form of self-compensating for authors of such things. Their special fantasy I guess. The difference in this one compared to this kind of stories is that the heroine (or whoever this evil spoiled brat is supposed to be in this manga) is especially annoying and has no conscience when torturing mc for her is just playing and way of showing affection. And I can already see that the creator of this manga tries to make her look funny/cute in the scenes where she talks about her feelings for mc which makes me sure she'll be in his harem later. I'm sick of it. Mangas aren't as fun as they used to be.

This manga seems like a “so bad, it’s good” kind of thing. Rua’s love reveal was seen from more than a mile away and the protagonist being just ridiculously overpowered in everything makes this manga just seem like a harem without any effort just waiting to happen. The writing was so rushed, going from one plot point to another with pretty much no transition. This manga is going to probably be shit.

Bookmarked.

Isn’t it not “Japanism” but “Jaianism”? As in, Jaian, the character from Doraemon famous for his double standard (“What yours is mine, what’s mine is also mine”)? Unless the manga changed it because of copyright, I’m pretty sure that’s supposed to be it.

This was kinda readable before all the "super mega hyper prodigy" bullshit

Exactly this. Why go and make his a super mega hyper prodigy? I mean, the setup was kinda bad anyway but...

It's like these authors kinda want to make a MC that is relatable... and then can't resist making him the God Emperor of Mankind.

Frankly speaking, this thing could ONLY be somewhat readable if at this point: he snaps and moves away to another school or snaps and goes on an evil crusade of vengeance.

... but I guess we're just getting an insipid harem slop where he decides to do nothing for no reason whatsoever, and resigns to be some mediocre harem VN protagonist... and then he even goes and forgives the pig..

While i enjoy mesugakis, specially twintailed ones, i draw the line at being an actual bitch. Being abrasive and teasing is fine, but public humiliation is another story.

The public humiliation thing is a line that once crossed can never be taken back.

If I had a penny for everytime I read a manga about a boy in an abusive relationship that he ends then has a barbie dream makeover I'd have 2 pennies, which isn't a lot but weird that it happened twice.

there's actually a series like that, he was pretty much one of the best assasins, but he wanted to lay low so he faked being a loser, but in actuallity he was too chill no apathetic, that most of the time it was funny, but I can't remember the name. I remember the woman that was his contact wanted him and another classmate too, but not sure if the classmate was a low level assasin or some sh!t but she kinda knew his secret.
