So The Great Sage is trying to find leads on Kuruto's village which explains why Bandana has been slyly tying to manipulate all the actions and scenarios surrounding him.
The Great Sage is in the village, Bandana is trying to find the current location to report in as they're constantly moving around to avoid being targeted by the anti-human Demon faction and greedy human countries.

And I could really use some recap when the releases are this sparse! So he is immortal or something? It would not be impossible given that his village creates impossible potions like they are lemonade or something! :notlikethis:
Either that, or his Village is actually in a different dimensional plane, where time moves differently (or no one ages there at all as long as they live).

And MC's Village moving around just means that they exit their Village and travel around for trading or something.

The official translations for the animated series has "Kuruto" as "Kurt", and it's distracting as fuck all.
It's weird they always do that.
The translation is not wrong though.

I mean, except a few characters like that Samurai guy, everyone in this series is meant to have an English form name.

And Kuruto (クルト) does translate to "Curt" or "Kurt".

I mean, his full name is "Kuruto Rokkuhanzu (クルト・ロックハンズ)", aka., "Kurt Rockhans".

Just like "Yūrishia (ユーリシア)" is "Yulicia".

They can just say "Kurt". It's a sound that exists; they don't have to pretend that it doesn't. Or they can translate it in the subtitles as "Kuruto" to go with the name they're actually saying.

I could even make the argument that "Karuto" more closely mimics the rhythm and compactness of “Kurt” in terms of impact, syllabic stress, and auditory texture than "Kuruto" does. The two long "oo" sounds in "Kuruto" gives the name a completely different feel that "Kurt", which is short and punchy; "Kuruto"'s two "oo" sounds makes it sound too round and too soft compared to "Kurt".

It's just distracting, and I'm really just more annoyed that sub groups now just rip the official subs and injecting whatever formating they prefer instead of making subs of their own so I can't even find a version that has "Kuruto" in the subs.
Japanese doesn't work that way.
And they don't use English pronunciation much either especially for names, unless the dialogue is meant to specifically focus on the language (like for example saying "Oh My God").

The reason why they don't use actual English pronunciation in Anime because they primarily make Anime for Japanese audience, and majority of them don't know how to properly pronounce English words, so instead they use Katakana to get a closer pronunciations instead, which while sounds odd to those who know English, but to Japanese people it is perfect.

If you doubt it, you can check some Official Japanese Websites or Trailers an Anime series, some usually provide both the Japanese pronunciation and English one together.

I don't think the village is in a different dimensional plane since Hildigard and her father visited to buy things to sell. I think either Karuto's village has a medicine or food that slows down the aging process, or they did what the grandma did in the flashback and made a medicine that rejuvenates.

I went and check out the anime. Three chapters so far. The quality seems to mid. Which I think shown in characters facial animations. It make me want to reread the manga more.

Kind of strange to catch up on releases and not end up in the middle of a cliffhanger.

That was a fun ride, and thank you for the great work done.

Been hoping for the horned girl to be a dragon with those cool horns. Each chapter hasn't denied it yet, but I have been wondering if the nation across the mountains has been mistranslated or just a catch-all name.

The summoned demon is quite a bit different from Hildegard. The Demon King is one of four, so maybe it is a collection of four different racial factions. Calling them all "demons" might just be shorthand.

It's kinda funny to just go "ehhhh, Solfare will find Hildegard eventually". Considering Solfare was doing what she did for Hildegard, it feels like Kuruto should've at least tried to stop Hildegard and be like "wait wait, before you go, there's that lady we want you to meet who was trying to save you", to let them meet up before they left.

Just a baron? They are trying to get him for cheap
I think they still want him to be the mayor of the frontier town, and that requires a noble title. But he wouldn't accept suddenly given a fief, so they will lie to him, and tell him it's just a honorary title.

They probably wanted to avoid Kuruto seeing how Solfare and Hildegard interact.

Not really.
It's a pretty sound strategy, making him a low ranking noble will give some influence, privilege and security while still being inconspicious and unimportant enough to be overlooked but if they make him a higher ranking noble then he'd stand out more and there's a higher chance more people would look into him and realize his "strength" and try to use him.

tl;dr a Baron has the perks of being a noble while being too low ranked for people to care much about.

9 episodes into anime.
I think the problem with anime is, this manga is a really funny comedy. But the anime director is trying to make a fantasy adventure instead, so they deliberately cut short all the jokes, and give extra time to the dark scenes.
If they embraced being a comedy instead, that would work better. And the art quality wouldn't be a problem.
