Had to experience a near death experience and it being said concisely and directly to her that she learns can't do proper justice without a big stick :nyoron: naive yuusha
(Spica on her way to be the cutest heretic executioner this side of the continent) :meguupog:

So sad that the cutest character of the story is taken out of it. Now we only have a playboy hero and the girls that he seduced left ;(
Well, that and one hungry dragon that is mildly irritating at times. At least we still have the kuudere priestess, I guess.

This is all i could remember from this series tbh. The hero cast out the priest assigned to their party because he's a man but the reveal that the hero is a girl but no reason yet as to why she dislikes men.

Read the novel for this chapter and Ares let Spica keep the mythril knife when she left the party since he felt bad about forever changing her life trajectory amd it might being useful to her. The knife he took back on ch 24. So I wonder if this will butterfly into the 5th 6th volume :thonk:

The talk about Strength and Weakness really got to Spica way more than to the Hero.
Choosing to follow Gregorio rather than Ares, to push herself into acquiring Strength as fast as possible.
If she survives, and there is no doubt she will, she'll get out of there stronger than the entire Hero Party.

so, learning from the guy who got utterly defeated in terms of power while constantly lecturing about weakness is a bit of a stretch.
he failed in combat exactly because he was weaker than ares.
and calling ares too kind, who is the singular reason the whole operation isnt a failure so far while constantly brutalizing the most dangerous enemies, is just downright weird.
ares never thought of sparing anyone out of sympathy, he merely deploys tools on the field.

Unfortunately the manga doesn't get to that point, chances it gets resurrected or rebooted are fairly low unless...a miracle happoens, like a second chance or a anime, the thing about Ares getting the knife back is weird if it wasn't in the original book.
As the author suspended writing for a long time I doubt they will promote the anime for a risky novel like this, doing all the work of promoting it and then the author retires again.

So about recent anime’s based on incomplete mangas, it’s kinda trending in anime studios atm XD

Low chances, is a good story with a unused gimmick of being mostly from the point of view of a inhabitant of the isekai, and all his plans to train the hero party get ruined from no one acting as they should.
If the new novel gets readers back, wor dof mouth helps and it gets noticed from the right people, it could get a anime.
The scene is oversaturated from normal isekai, another getting something is hard, a unique gimmick like this and many beautiful girls help.

Oh that's easy to figure out. Pretty much, you're just looking at the methods and not the details.
Greg's training is pretty much life or death with no hints. You fail, you die. He won't lift a finger to help.
Ares on the other hand is extremely meticulous. He handles everything in the background, a test you pretty much can't fail or die from. But at the same time, one you can't grow from. Like how he handled the party's holy water set up instead of letting them learn the hard way when it wears off and they are suddenly thrown into combat situation and can do better later.

Both the hero and Spica learned a lot from Ares, but in the small time dealing with his insanity grew more (mentally) from Greg. Spica saw through this and probably Ares even understood it.

Gregorio only fell short because Ares was his opponent, but nonetheless he's still one of the best among Crusaders. For reference: an accomplished fighter is around level 40-50s, an elite knight is 70s, Greg 83, Ares 93, and level cap is 100. Greg also goes on solo missions all the time even though he's unable to use healing magic and still survive. To a level 10 like Spica, both of them look downright monstrous.

However when it comes to efficiency, Ares' training course only makes them grow steadily in a safe and reasonable pace, as he can't afford to have the hero party fails and dies. What Spica wants is to gain strength really, really fast, then going with Greg's unreasonable way is the right choice... as long as she can survive it.
She'll return in vol. 5 LN, and at that point we have a mini Greg at hand lol.
