This same author did an entire bullying and gang-rape revenge arc in like 3 volumes and has spent 6 or more volumes since then on almost nothing.
It's impressive that it somehow still manages to be readable. It's like he's challenging himself to make a drama manga where as little happens as possible while still being just about decent and readable.

It's not fatty. It's TOMIKO. She's making faces like that due to C-PTSD and has an eating disorder. She eats her feelings. Obviously she is thinking back to when she was bullied so bad in elementary and middle school. Tomiko can tell Kanae is being bullied by a reflection of her own past.

That’s what teenagers /puberty is like sometimes, this manga might be an extreme case but I’ve def seen teens fly off the handle at light teasing, if not inoffensive statements as well, or someone saying something that sets someone off from someone they barely know but wouldn’t care if the “best friend” said something similar

Plus Runa does come off as two faced at what she said in the end

Tho idk how much it’ll spiral of everyone else’s life being “ruined” too rather than Hiroshi getting arrested for stabbing her if the author ever circles around to that versus ending it ambiguously and not giving us an epilogue

Mhm, I know. But I’m saying it doesn’t matter. The actual content is the same regardless of what the author is or identifies as, and thus it really doesn’t matter

The point is that she’s cranking the drama while killing the pace and according to some still managing to make it readable

Wow... I had to make this account because this manga is just... Awful lol.

I've read up to this latest point and will not be continuing. Just making this post because I've never felt more blindsided and a waste of time even with the worst or mediocre stories. It's so bad that I gotta say something at this point:

- Opening up with the "ending" to drum up intrigue that may never get followed up at this slooooowwwwwwww pacing rate.

- You have the first 3 volumes raising the stakes to astronomical levels having the main bully of the group r*ped and then forgotten by the plot itself with no other interesting consequences to come from it besides Narumi breaking Hiroshi's shoulder.

- Baseball junk -> petty school melodrama and overanalyzing everything -> more inane baseball talk -> long winded backstory to characters who just have slight different variances of being a mentally contrived bully -> I HOPE YOU LOVE MORE BASEBALL TALK!

Even when Ochi confronts Kane which i thought would've felt like a fairly earned scene - it's still stupid because he talks like he's a philosopher and armchair psychologist. Not a hormonal teenager that has issues. It's one thing to be stoic because of a hard life - but another to be so pedantic about a girl who in all honesty hasn't done ANYTHING to earn that level of distrust in his eyes besides getting the way of what he thinks life should go for him and Hiroshi. At least make him witness Kane doing the prostitution or something horrible so he has a reason since he was apparently okay with Nana.

I realllllyyyyy wanted to love this - but even "Juujika No Rokunin" was better than this and that is a horror story in terms of writing and pacing in of itself. This just says nothing about nobody. Pure "emotional masturbation" with no real reason to keep being invested.

The story is clearly not a hero's path type story; its more anthological where it deepdive show shitty and human each character is
