given that this series is based off elite dangerous, the equivalent in the game is a Fleet Carrier. however, nothing quite really looks that blocky, the closest fleet carrier variant is the standard Drake Class variant. the design reminds me more of the trade class carriers in no mans sky.
If its ED based just think of it as a Super sized up Type-7.

I can't help think the scale of the mothership is a bit off, iirc.
It was meant to be only able house two small ships like Krishna plus cargo bay. But this look it can fit 10 just on that nose block up front alone. Then I remember the huge caliber EML. Jesus how big was the gun that Mei wanted?

Mei? Well, no other android/gynoid like Mei will be on the crew for lore reasons. I think they discuss that in the LN when Mei gets her proper body and frame. But as of current crew, only Mei and the twins live on the mother ship.
No need of a full android body, a sentient AI ball can be count too...

Recently read volumes 10 & 11 of the LN, and 10 left me really pissed off. Can any WN reader confirm that Mary dies the horrible death she deserves given all the atrocities she's committed by aiding pirates? (rape, torture, noncon body mod, and murder of 1000s of civilians, terrorism etc)

Sorry about doing this here but I'm not sure where else the series is actively being discussed.
Answer:
Mary only gets remembered for a bit so far in the WN. It’s pretty much later confirmed that there are other people like Hiro who got dragged into this universe. Mary included. Each of them was playing some sort of game and incidentally gained a game mechanic like ability based on said game. Hiro wonders that if he is shot down while he’s in Krishna, would he respawn with the Krishna in the last space dock he docked at. But he doesn’t want to try out that theory at all.

Mary is already wanting to avoid crossing Hiro’s path again cause she couldn’t hit him with her best weapon. With Krishna’s major upgrades, she wouldn’t stand a chance against him now. In the most recent chapters of the WN, Krishna has become stupidly powerful, to the point it could probably annihilate an entire space battleship fleet on its own and still be completely fine.

Most small ships also have interiors so bad its comparable to our sea fairing ships back in the age of sail, the krishna is a F22 with a built in pent house
Well, my comment was mainly based on why Armies in this Isekai don't use Small Sized ships.
It's not really about interior decor or how it's managed (I mean obviously Armies would atleast maintain a proper environment within their ships by protocol), but more like automation system.

MC's Krishna is state-of-the-art because it is a ship which is almost as powerful as a armies Destroyers, but in the size of barely an upper Small Sized ships which can be managed by with just 1 crew.

Normally a similar capable ship like Krishna would be atleast mid or large Medium Sized class, and would require more than 2 crew members to manage it. And an actual Small Sized ship is quite weak in power comparatively.

Which is why for Armies in that Isekai, Small Sized ships are mostly useless, because creating such small units is basically waste of personals and resources. Instead, they focus more on Cruisers & Destroyers, which have more firepower and can carry many Army personals for field combat.

Well Mei's specs actually put her above a sentient AI ball (or in the case of this series "MI ball").
It has already been mentioned before in the Manga that Mei isn't even using 90% of her capabilities currently, as her current work isn't that demanding.
Also, those MI balls are basically terminals for an actual MI which is housed somewhere else, like Milo from the Resort Planet.

In the recent LN's (Vol.11 and later) they did consider getting more MI's like Mei for specialized operations work (Mei is more like an all-rounder), as stuff to manage had increased, like with Elma getting her own Medium Sized Spaceship, which Mei alone can't handle easily.
Though until recently released Vol.14 illustrations, they didn't buy any yet.

There it is, the Black Lotus, I’ve been waiting to see it in the manga.
Kinda sad it may be replaced in the LN with a bigger mother ship at some point, but also kinda exciting to see what new digs the crew will have.

Nice, this angle is less flattering* than the ones shown in the LN but it's still cool to see our first look at the Black Lotus like this. I assume the next chapter will have some nice side views etc to show how good it looks. It's basically one big upgrade for Mei, therefore it's good. (ngl the WN kinda made me feel a bit conflicted when they started talking about getting rid of it already to buy an even bigger mothership they can park medium ships in, especially since it coincided with the Krishna getting its nonsensical magical upgrade & Hiro's own nonsensical magical upgrade, it just felt like they were suddenly kicking the changes into high gear & we never even hear Mei's thoughts on replacing her highly-customized baby with something else, & even if they pull a similar level of customization on a bigger ship (read: absolutely bristling with weapons hidden under the armor) I bet they'll lose the EML in the process (since that's a fixed weapon & bigger ships turn slower) & that's just a shame. I always envisioned it with all of the detail the Halo books (I was a teenager once too okay?) give their MAC cannons & I always thought those were way more badass than all the plasma and laser weapons in space series. It's like, sure, nerd; you can instantly superheat a spot of my armor with your lasers, but I can just delete you entirely with a car-sized chunk of metal hurtling at a speed that'd cause an ice age on any planet it accidentally hit, so I recommend you choose a safer career path in your next life...

*the front view makes it look totally square & not just blocky like dwarf ships are; it's a pretty long ship so it ends up looking decently sleek (though still rectangular) when viewed from basically any other angle lol

Primarily because it's a defensive, repair and cargo ship, not a battle oriented one.
*Primarily because it's a dwarf-designed ship & they just make shit blocky; the only reason the test ship with the "Limiter Cut" button was any different is because Wiska likes to get freaky when it comes to tech

[...] in the LN they stated it's 300m long.
I'm in the same boat as you, I recently went through the WN (like, as recent as when the last chapter of the manga came out thanks to the kind folks here on mangadex) because waiting on the LN right after they introduced Kugi & wondering where the fuck they're going with that plotline. I'm glad I'm not the only one who seems utterly repulsed by that bitch, Hiro says he hates her but his reaction is way too muted for how horrible she is. She's still alive ATM & hasn't shown up again, but they bring her up once in a while to make sure we don't forget about her & it feels like beating her is one of the bigger reasons Hiro gets psionic training in the first place so they won't end in a draw again like last time.
As for the Black Lotus' length, hopefully they stick with 300m like you said, because in the WN the author seemingly forgets & starts saying it's anywhere from 300 to 400m; I hope they don't bring mistakes like those into the "finished" version...

and wheres the dwarf threesome?
you & a lot of other people have their hopes way too high, it ain't happening for quite a while because Hiro can't get over their appearances. They're gonna be hitting on him for a looong time before he caves. (For that reason I'm personally hoping the manga sticks to making them look more like petite adults instead of alternating between them looking like preteens & them looking like adults with some degree of actual dwarfism like the LNs, though it's not like they'll actually show anything anyway lol)

Check Chapter 39.2.

You can see the Spaceship Nighthawk isn't a blocky type design, as it's more about speed and maneuverability with lower defense and cargo capacity.

On the other-hand, the Spaceship Skidbaldnir is more about defense and higher cargo capacity, and is more customizable. And this is the one MC selected.

And both of them are Dwarf-designed Spaceships (they had already decided to go to Vald System which is home to Dwarf manufacturers and MC was checking there catalog in Chapter 39.2).

As for the design of Wiska's prototype ship, it wasn't blocky because it was more about speed, not because its Dwarf-designed.

And if you check back to Chapter 6 (Vol.2), then you would see that Spaceships are either Blocky designed or Sharp designed.

It is basically that, the Spaceships which focus on speed & maneuverability are more Sharp designed, while those which are defenses are more Blocky designed.

Well, I imagine then that Elma or another crew member would be the 'Master' in this case. Or my memory of when they talked about getting another originally was faulty or Mei was being possessive.

That, and I'm not current with the last couple LNs, so there is that.

yeah WN said Mei didn't want a another machine intelligence because having multiple serve one master can cause "issues", i think Naeve will be Elma co-pilot/information specialist.

How?
We had already seen its design back in Chapter 39.2, when MC was looking up for specs on which Mothership to buy.
I mean, externally the new ship isn't that different from it's base Skidbaldnir model.
Plus, the Light Novel also did give us the design for the new ship on the cover of Vol.5, and Manga design isn't that different from it.

Don't think that character has been introduced in the Light Novel yet, atleast not in the Illustrations until Vol.14, all of which I had uploaded on the Fandom Wiki I am working on for this Series (had to roughly blur one of the illustrations because it created fandom bot deletion issue), along with illustrations of Vol.13 as well though it's missing one as the source I got the illustrations one has censored it so trying to find another source.

Simple, I read the WN, not LN, I never saw anything, heck this manga is the first time I sew what the twin looks like, also the manga has such a huge release period that one panel from chapters ago doesn't really register in my brain

What's left is... The fox girl huh
