Who hurt y’all? Shiori is obviously wingmanning in this chapter! Shinji’s pure love for Renge has gotten through to her and so she’s now trying to help in her little way. Mostly by keeping Hayama out of trouble and out of his hair. I don’t think this is the kind of manga that’s going to have these deep seated dramas simmering underneath ready to explode. I think the Shiori drama is done, and now the mother drama is done, and we’ll move onto Shinji trying to get into grad school drama. In the end the core of this manga is eating interesting food made by a cute gyaru and the romance that ensues. Those dramas are one off road bumps.

100%. Because of her past, Shiori's thing is crushing the illusion of fake love and devotion. Naruto proved his feelings for Renge were real by rejecting her advances and in response she's turned into their biggest supporter.

Agreed. Unlike a lot of herbivore MC, Naruto's really trying to better himself in small and large ways. It's easy to root for him.
