Well, beautiful people, we're back (we never left, we've been releasing Youjo Senki chapters but only on our Patreon, we're up to chapter 97 haha). I know you've missed our beautiful translation and editing, and here we are again, hoping for your continued support, as we've always had.

Now, all jokes aside, I want to start by apologizing. At the time, I didn't take the hateful comments and, at the same time, the ones telling the truth about our translation very well. I lacked self-criticism, and from what people told me and my own ignorance, I thought the translations of Youjo Senki chapters 72 to 81 were good, but no, they were absolute garbage. A few months ago, we stopped working with that translator because the problem came from the translation from Japanese to Spanish. Currently, we're using the translation of Teniente X, who is a HUGE Youjo Senki fan, and I am certain that this time it’s done right.

I really hope you like this translation. I'd love to read the comments and see that you enjoy the series. I should clarify that I've already talked with RonRay (well, his girlfriend) and let her know that we'll be uploading Youjo Senki chapters again. Now, why did we stop doing it? It’s quite simple. I didn’t have the staff or the assurance that the translation was decent. Now, I do.

If any group wants to upload another version of this series, go ahead, I really don’t have any problem with that. And with the hate some people have for me, I don’t think my opinion will matter much either haha. I just want to say that, well, over time, the translation of those garbage chapters (72 to 81) will be changed, and we’re almost up to date with the latest Japanese chapter of Youjo Senki.

I would say that we are planning to upload about 3 or 4 chapters per week until we reach episode 96. Those chapters are already ready; they just need to have the translation corrections made.

I think it was an obvious "find the room" teasing joke. But otherwise, Tanya's whole story out of context looks like a typical cheesy revanchism fanfic about isekai in WWII, so I've long since gotten used to its peculiar charm. So another depiction of mecha angels in the style of Shaman King doesn't even surprise me, lmao.

The main irony is that we are seeing BL "horror" in a manga that has been teasing yuri ships with varying degrees of boldness for years. Even to the point of making jokes about it in this very chapter, lmao.

I'm not trying to justify it or criticize it. It's obviously useless from the start. I just always find it funny when mangakas combine varying degrees of idealization of yuri bait and mocking of BL. You can tell right away that the work is geared towards men, although Zen has always been vocal against fetishizing Tanya. At least formally.

It is a graffiti drawn on eastern side of Berlin Wall in 1990, which itself was made based on photo from 1979.

Thank you, I live in Russia, I know what this scene is. The fact that it is real (without touching that for Slavs it is a regular old-fashioned brotherly kiss, the rest was invented by Western political scientists) does not change the fact that its use in Western or even Eastern media usually parodies its homoerotic nature, unless it is related to the theme of Germany in the Cold War.

As I said above. It became such a political meme not least because of its homoerotic connotations at a time when "gay people are funny" POV was still quite popular even in the West inselfs. But it wouldn't be so funny if it wasn't in the story with yuri jokes/tease.

At that time, everyone hated gays, especially if we are talking about the time before the first gay rights campaigns of the 60s. And did the manga itself touch on this in any direct way? Although I doubt that in this case, this symbolism had any significance to Stalin's views, considering that he would die 20-30 years before it was made.

Again, does the manga touch on this in any way? Or did you just draw a parallel that Stalin is afraid of gays and if two men kissing, so it's about Stalin's homophobia? I don’t know if you aware, but similar traditions existed among men even during Stalin’s time and this shouldn’t have frightened or surprised him in any way.

We're talking about manga and I mentioned manga artists, is it that hard? Or are you just looking for a reason to fight?
