Man the "Villainess" of this story was giving me "Bernadetta" Vibes (A favorite character of mine from Fire Emblem, one of it's entries 3H, she's a Noble Girl and a Shut-in with a Persecution complex due to her shitty father wanting to make her the "perfect Noble Lady" for marriage and shredding her self-esteem instead! Funny enough she ended up at the Academy in the game cause her mother had her packaged up in a bag and transported there! Moment she got her ROOM chosen, she basically HID in there whenever she is not required to be somewhere, sometimes needing to be DRAGGED!)
Hell during this I was thinking of said character's voice actress as I was reading the "FMC" lines, but hey love this ended in a non-romance (ironically the male lead reminds me of ANOTHER FE: 3 Houses character I like, specifically PAIRING Bernadetta with him! Felix, he's not Sword obsessed as Felix, but well he also has vibes of ALOT of my favorite other characters I like to PAIR Bernadetta with)
But yeah services her stupid Stepmom right! So obsessed with being an evil stepmother and taking her new stepdaughter (well she CEASED being her stepdaughter the moment the girl's father died officially anyway) . My guess is as her guardian, she was stealing money that was rightfully hers (basically embezzlement) so she really had no right to play the "I pay your " her daughter then steals her sister's fiancee the prince and then arrange her to be framed so they can JUSTIFY all the bad done to her and what was stolen with no proof what so ever! Of course as we saw, hindsight is 20/20 and so in her RUSH to be rid of a child she didn't birth herself and steal her inheritance, she essentially didn't realize she foolishly threw away the CENTERPIECE OF HER MONEY LOL (I mean was it THAT HARD not to "Man in the Iron Mask" the girl, after ruining her reputation and framing her, it would be ALL that easy to let her be a reclusive and "act as though she was dead" already! But she JUST couldn't resist kicking the dog and wanting to visit a horrible fate on her! At this point I think all Evil Stepmom's who use to be commoners are the OPPOSITE of Aria and her mother from that Villainess Time Story! Rather then live quietly while assuring their stepkid can't screw them over, they instead try to screw them over out of a petty grudge cause they KNEW they were under the power of the child and their father, and HATED IT, so when the father dies, they see their CHANCE to avoid remaining under the power of the Stepchild and treat them HORRIBLE cause their EGO can't STAND )
At least I like the Prince here! Love when their not "idiots in love" but just assholes who were using the girls. It means he didn't LOVE FMC stepsister, makes sense if she's a LOW noble ONLY made high because of his and her mother's actions! But doesn't change she's still LOW BLOOD to be royality! Hence why they had to FRAME FMC, the other nobles are HYPOCRITES so if they hear a SOB story of one of their own PRACTISING the rights THEY would do themselves when a LOWER NOBLE is DARING to disrespect, they act like "their in the wrong" just to SOUND like their MORALLY better! Makes And honestly I kind of HALF agree with this King! It makes SENSE he doesn't interfere cause if his son made a GOOD MOVE, he does feel bad for the victim, but for the GREATER GOOD of the Kingdom, well they should have tried harder to avoid their fate (I do like them MORE if they HELP the poor victim in some form to make up for them being a sacrifice at LEAST) BUT if they fail miserably, then he brings the hammer down on them, especially if their short sighted!
I can only guess the place he exiled the asshole to is as HORRIBLE as what was suppose to happen to FMC! Except there won't be some SECRET fortunes left there for him! Hopefully there is no monsters, just a poor territory with NO HOPE of a turn around! Best Part is the Sister gets to go with him since they QUICKLY married so as his wife, she can't divorce him, her DREAMS of being a QUEEN are dashed, I can expect Stepmom to suffer ruin and the SERVANTS abandoning her since she set the precedent that their relationship is money based, so they quickly abandon her for better pastures (Not to FMC, they likely assume she's dead by this point, by the time they DO find out she's alive and prospering, I'm sure they expect her to FORGIVE them cause they were ONLY doing their job, but they KNOW they could have done MORE WITHOUT violating their "Neutral Position" I put that in "" because it's really "we're just not on YOUR side!, so it's just an EXCUSE) Stepmom gets in trouble next to the failing factories and any NOBLE patrons and allies abandoning her cause with her "son in law" now an EXILED Disowned Prince and her daughter a DISOWNED Wife of said prince with NO REAL POWER! She's back to how she was BEFORE she suckered FMC father into marrying her, even WORSE, and when she DOES discover FMC didn't get "gobbled up" like she hoped (and the Nobility are now going through the rounds of deconstructing the SOB STORY the Exiled Moron helped validate of them being bullied and harassed by FMC to make her lose everything to them look DESERVED) she's going to realize her "contract" she forced her to sign means she can't access ANYTHING of hers AFTERWARDS, meaning she lost the MIDAS TOUCH because she wanted to kick the dog
The Prince is stuck in a poor territory with little prospects and turns into a drunk gambling loser, domestic abuse on his Wife does happen! Sister can't flee and ends up a battered housewife! Yeah she was a con-artist like her mother, but as said no one relly deerves that fate! Finds out about her sister's prosperity and secretly flees to get help! ML knows she isn't to be trusted, but FMC gives her a chance and helps her, luckly the Prince has a tumble when drunk and dies, so she's a Widow now, but in a way FREE from the Exile. She can either BE grateful and an aid for real for her stepsister, atoning properly and gives her mother WHAT FOR when she thinks she can CONVINCE her like before to help RUIN and steal from FMC, disowning her and realizing they never HAD to do the HORRIBLE things to FMC like she convinced her to do, so their BAD FATES before was deserved and she doesn't want to bring it about! This gets ML trust who was keeping her under watch. Or she LOATHES her stepsister's success and wishes to TRY this time to bring her to ruin like what she and her mother tried before! She tries, but is defeated cause again ML had her under observation, so FMC isn't HURT, he EXILES Stepsister himself (more like DISAPPEARS) and makes sure FMC never finds out, or more gets her to leave on her own so she no longer has a "flea" on her! As she and her Mother go into RUIN and she regrets not accepting her sister's kindness for what it was! (She saw her as a TRUE SISTER while she treated her like a Stepsister following her mother's lead that she'd ruin them if given the chance, a SELF-FUFILLING PROPHECY that ironically never happened since it was THEY who ruined themselves!)

Yeah me too, she is SUPER interesting like the "Villainess" of that one, same with the Prince like the Prime Minister (I liked how he was a LIGHTER SHADE OF BLACK to the Point he was more GRAY then even THAT compared to others, all he did was brought, but as shown, he has done ALOT OF GOOD in that bad to make it HARD to even say he's DARK at all! He acknowledges he's not a saint and many of the GOOD was for his wife sake, but even before she had an effect on his life, he did SOME good with the bad the SOME people recognized, I mean he was the ACTUAL ruler of the Kingdom after all as he was GETTING SHIT DONE and I liked how it was shown the Royal Family were just figureheads, he never HAD to play along and marry FMC, he just did so to keep UP the illusion and assumed she'd be JUST like his first wife and leave him eventually, which surprised him that she did and ACTUALLY loved him. And he's what I like, ML who are not "K-Pop" Handsome cliche, he's not ugly other then being an Egg that walks, but this means you focus on their CHARACTER which I like alot more then LOOKS! I loved this "Villainess" cause her freckles and looks were pretty good if not BETTER then the typical "Shine so much my EYES BURN" beauties we usually get, she's something KNEW and helps she reminds me of one of my favorite Fire Emblem Character's Bernadetta that I was IMAGINING her voice in my head as I read this girl's lines!)

Having social anxiety =/= being autistic. Like is it so hard for people to understand some people just don't like being around others and rather stay cooped up doing things they enjoy?
No everything ASSOCIATED with her father was signed over to her mother EXCEPT the Land that was her mother's cause the woman THOUGHT it was worthless and she can TRY and pretend she was "being kind" to leave her SOMETHING! Writer didn't forget that, her mother can't take it cause it wasn't in the contract and because she didn't know it was ALL FMC who was the "golden goose" she and her daughter are DOOMED to ruin (with her daughter exiled with her "husband" who is a disowned in all but name Prince. She lost Royal Backing, soon enough what she stole will be WORTHLESS and by the time she discovers FMC was the Golden Goose, what is she going to do, FORCE herself on her again, that time she had BOUGHT OUT everyone that as she said, FMC had no ALLIES, but by the time she does come around, she will have NO ALLIES herself and FMC has a PRINCE who is going to be Crown Prince soon enough as an ally, one who IS aware of her and her daughter's deceptions, hell even his BROTHER made it clear he ONLY got with her cause her cause she and her mother convinced him that they could TAKE everything FMC owned so he had no reason to stay with her, but now that it's come out FMC WAS the PILLAR they have NO LEVERAGE to hold over her, and he's not letting EITHER of them get ANYWHERE near FMC to push her around)
Plus she's not Autistic, just SUPER introvert! Not really her fault her father FOOLISHLY trusted his second wife NOT to screw his daughter over the very SECOND the dirt went over his coffin! She ENCOURAGED the isolation to a point to make her controllable, but what was suppose to be a Kick the Dog, before kicking her to the curb (and a life likely WORSE then what she married the FMC father to get herself and her daughter away from like it's a MOCKERY to FMC that she was born rich and lost everything to those "more deserving" who weren't even though she and her daughter were thieves) instead backfired, assuring her daughter is likely going to end up IN WORSE then what she tried to get her away from (marrying the jerk means she SHARES everything with him, including his ruination LOL), SHE herself will fall into ruin and because she had a "I own you cause I pay you" she has NO loyal allies (even if the servants were fair weather to FMC, they sure as HELL aren't going to FEEL bad abandoning the stepmother when she can't pay them as she placed loyalty TOO MUCH on the MIGHTY DOLLAR instead of TRYING to cultivate real loyalty of any kind, I mean they FELT sorry when they abandoned FMC at the very least! LOL) Had she KNOWN FMC was the centerpoint of the business (something I'm curious on HOW she missed FMC Importance unless she was SO greedy and a Lady Tremaine that she refused to look any further into FMC beyond dreaming of the day she ruins her for her own petty reasons! I mean even LADY TREMAINE was smart NOT to kick her Stepdaughter out the house cause she could be USEFUL, even as a FREE Servant!) It's clear she did this to FMC mostly as a Middle Finger to her being BORN Rich and in comfort and towards her dead Husband! So she is DESERVING of her end fate of LOSING it all! I just hate how we didn't see on-screen Karma to the Stepmom

Indeed they're quite rare. For nerdy and eccentric there are 2 series I can think of - I Awoke as an Imprisoned Villainess, The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young LadyThis is great, one of the few stories I want more of.
It’s rare to find a nerdy eccentric girl in fantasy settings as the main character; even more rare for it to be good. Most I’ve found has either stopped being scanned.. or was just advertisement for the light novel
Esperance also checks out a lot of my boxes that I like in her design as an eccentric nerd type. ie being clumsy in the last panel, so cute, I want more.
For just eccentric, Mochiron, Isharyou Seikyuu Itashimasu! (hasn't updated in a while but I remember reading the WN a long time ago) and webtoon Miss Not-so Sidekick!
I think it might be a case of company 1 provides X, company 2 provides Y, and then company 3 combined X and Y to make Z the final product, where there's some secret A addition that she's in charge of providing in secret. Company 1, 2, and 3 each have their own formula, but don't know the entire composition.

I think signing everything away came out in Esperance's benefit in the end.
Since she completely signed everything away right after the engagement, the problems of the estate afterwards do not concern her. And more importantly, the king probably knows that she's been separated/split from the family through that contract, so he should have no problems working with her through Alfonso.
I don't think the family/estate will remain as it is. It will most likely be transferred back to Esperance to put the products back into full production and salvage the nation's reputation. Esperance's step family already proved themselves incompetent, and he can use that as excuse to "return the estate to its rightful owner".

She doesn't just have social anxiety. She also have social anxiety. Having social anxiety doesn't mean you must be dumb. MC's behavior and actions showed many symptoms of autism. Also, autism is not a bad word, unlike what some emotionally unhinged others would like to suggest and getting offended over, it's just a name for a very real condition.

This one is nice but you cant think too hard about it. How did the factories run solely on her if she was a hikkikomori up until the party? Was there like a source substance she made that got used in their products? And its a bit strange that the stepmom just tossed her with that being the case… although i suppose they didnt look at production and assumed it was fine. Cute story though.
