So.... We're just casually confirming that the MC gives no damn about people dying because he still views the entire world as nothing but a game and thinks everything will go on auto-pilot and just replay his ideal playthrough.

Not realizing that because the hero is a person in this world, that there's no way that the hero will magically follow the ideal farming routes he did, will not just run around spending hours in dungeons grinding gear and treasure.

And that there's real time to take into account.
Yeah, this guy's brain is cooked and he will never realize anything. The only hope is that he accidentally kills the big bad guys before the main story starts and thinks "Oh, because it isn't the start of the story, I guess I can kill the end boss without causing an impact since the final boss isn't in his castle. I mean he'll just respawn right?"

See it from a “Natural Selection” viewpoint. As with all Isekais that is a world of a game, the “destiny” in that world is already set in stone, apart from the person(s) who got isekai’d there.

For example, they showed in Ch. 4 that had MC not interfered with killing the demon then Kagyua would’ve descended from the sky and dealt with the demon, which in turn would’ve made MC able to keep being a Mob character. But since he interfered he has now altered the way the “deatiny” is headed towards.

But since MC doesn’t know that he has caused a butterfly effect he still believes that everything is progressing exactly as it’s “destined” to do. And that’s the premise of the ‘hook’ the author seem to be going with here.

That’s how I interpret it at least.

Another annoying trope this follows is him constantly questioning why the characters are behaving certain ways or why they're acting differently, mf YOU breaking your own rules and interfering with the plot and not being diligent in staying away from the plot is exactly why they're acting different and things are branching out.

Yeah. We've pretty much established early that this is going to be the running gag.
That he is a huge hypocrite, an idiot, and will lack any self awareness.
It's not a gag I appreciate mind you. I've read stories about this and repeatedly reality keeps trying to hit the MC but the MC keeps denying it. Because if ever the MC becomes aware, then the gag disappears and the author will have to actually pull an effort.

An example of a story that really irritates me with a similar aspect are those where the MC is some kid from the boonies and the town happens to be one of the cities near the demon king castle, but he moves to the capital which is the starting location and he overpowers everyone but constantly misunderstands and thinks he's the weakest of villagers despite being able to overpower even the holy knights.

It's a joke that only works on the initial phase. But needs to rapidly be moved through to actually allow character growth. Otherwise all you're seeing is a stale character while the rest of the world changes. It basically sacrifices the satisfaction of character growth for a neverending running gag. It's trying to pull One Punch Man without the ability to pull it off. Because at least in One Punch Man, Saitama understands he is overpowered, he is aware of it. It's just that he is more preoccupied by the day to day life he leads than the heroics he performs specifically as a hobby. And he is not unaware of the impact he does, it's just that he is distant from it in part because of how overpowered he has become that he is in this weird state of under-stimulation that is slowly being filled in by the interpersonal relations he has made of people who want to be heroes. which naturally resolves the actual central issue Saitama possesses and reframes what a hero is beyond just beating the bad guys.
