Despite what the titles on Steam imply, there is no censored versions. Only the third part has adult content separately, but it's a free DLC rather than a different version

Its seem the manga combine both route since in chapter 38 MC shown with neighbor but latter came back to shelter so MC role kind of scavenger in the shelter since their food management not there yet despite already had functional farm

Zombie media isn't really about the zombies -- they focus on how humans act when facing a crisis. The happy family building simulator aspect is kind of what JP media for young adults defaults to nowadays.
