Thanks for translation, I love Kaitani Shinobu so I've really enjoyed reading the end of this the last few months.

Any mahjong players want to talk about how realistic it is? Obviously it's played up a bit, but there's something here. I know the tenhou platform adds a little random delay, but I feel you could gain some extra info from the stuff talked about? I think some of the mahjong platforms have good replay systems so perhaps I can do a little scraping and figure out answers myself

I see Kaitani-sensei's intention in how the story should go and only wish that they fleshed out the details on the mental battles near the end instead of rushing to the finish line. Nevertheless, thank you for completing the translation on this old series!

Some of the plays are the things I would do myself, honestly. That being said, I think most mahjong manga are realistic once they sit on the table and do their stuff.

...yes, I know of Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku, but let's put that one aside.

The whole quirk thing is actually surprisingly applicable. Maybe only semi realistic, but applicable. My experience in IRL and online mahjong made me encounter really specific ones. For example, I know a guy who always ran away when a round went halfway without anyone in tenpai. He did this by calling the tiles without even caring about his hands, hoping that the round ends with him in tenpai.

thank u for translating til the end !!!! its really so nice to see this one fully scanlated. i remember picking it up in 2021 n its crazy to me that i now got to read it all

it is a cute ending i think its maybe the best ending ive read from kaitani shinobu so far lol not sure ill ever reread this one tho
cuz well for a manga about reading peoples hands n minds n expressions n whatnot never showing the fucking discard pool or god forbid the dora indicator makes for pretty lame mahjong action. like i do fuck w the idea of "mahjong made me befriend people n feel more like a person again thank you mahjong i love you mahjong" - this is a sentiment i see in real life mahjong players and on some level i agree. for it i will forgive the very lame pop psychology on display here, like this is about themes. its symbolism. its art. its a story. but i dont feel like it actually cared about the mahjong or about the characters so im just kinda left w the vague gesture of something that couldve been good. which is not really enough for me as a casual reader or a player or an enjoyer of art
its got some good ideas tho n i did read it til the end n all. well basically thank you mahjong i love you mahjong
