Not sure if there is an exact reason other than the full face reveal page later, but she does seem to have some sort of marks on her neck so we'll seeWhy did it zoom in on the girls neck when she was trying to remember?
That thing in the fog was likely not her father and she was rescued from it. Her father seemed surprised and concerned she was taking grey jobs... wonder how they got separated, it seemed heavily implied that the reason he was doing grey jobs himself was for Hama.So now we see what happened from Hama's perspective, and it seems her father is still so eager to run away from her despite the last time we see Hama there's dialog from (supposedly) her father.
Also, her sickness where her brain seems to be glitch doubled looks eerily familiar, like Chacha/Yume's mother looks or the people who got possessed by ghost in arc where Chacha was introduced. This is just a long shot, but is it possible someone is transplanting brain inside Hama's head in order to take over her body, like her dad?
Daidai's brain gives damage to eldritchWell damn, if you'd asked me to bet on which character was most likely to be suffering from eldritch brain damage just a single chapter ago my money would've been on Daidai.
What a fuckin' twist.
the fog illusions seem weird af. some of them are helpful (dead guy helped yume, dad was semi helpful and wanted to lead her out of the fog but couldnt cuz of the grey job, the q lady was kind of helpful and told hama how to escape) but the other grey jobber's friend from the fog was out to get herThat thing in the fog was likely not her father and she was rescued from it. The holy memory and self recognition problem opens up a whole can of mind fuckery the author can put out, means Hama isnt a trustworthy narrator and we have to doubt everything from her perspective, even the story about her father running away. Memory disorder is bad enough, but with "inability to recognize oneself" im not sure how crazy its gonna get. What does that mean? Could Hama really be someone else entirely all along that thinks they're Hama all along cause they cant percieve themselves?
Good catch about the double glitch, I was wondering why it seemed familiar.
I think Tokiko (the Q lady) was the real thing. Weirdly didn't even occur to me that she might be an illusion, her showing up there just seems on brand. I figure she's giving Hama that warning so she can either go save Yume, or for some other goal related to the delivery (and/or Nijimura...?).the fog illusions seem weird af. some of them are helpful (dead guy helped yume, dad was semi helpful and wanted to lead her out of the fog but couldnt cuz of the grey job, the q lady was kind of helpful and told hama how to escape) but the other grey jobber's friend from the fog was out to get her
