I loved this. Even so. Bring on the drama. There's a lot left to be explored, and to go wrong. Fan issues. Aki's high fitness. The other side's culture... yakuza, mostly, I assume. Eiji is back, and I doubt that earnest simp and loose end will get through the series unscathed.

Regardless of how much these two deserve happiness, the series is special because of the couple navigating issues. That romantic cooperation in grim circumstances is precious, like the rare precious. Fluff between them is wonderful, but it's the handling of the fluff->urban horror->fluff cycle that makes this so special to me.

We still have to worry about the female manager who took over now that Yokiri is no longer a threat. Then there's the snake girl from earlier who seemed not to be a problem, but she might show up again to cause some drama, even though she was pretty chill on her first appearance.
