Jump scared by the credits page since my PC's been BSODing occasionally the past month.

Given the familiars actual nickname was Sameko in the raw, if you're going to translate it to English it should be 'Sharkie'. Since '-ko' is also used to make cutesy nicknames, especially for pets and gets used to show a character has lazy, immature or bad naming sense, all of which applies to this scenario. And adding '-ie' or '-y' is what many people do in English for similar purposes. A related example would be that the English approximation of wanko would be doggie or woofie. This makes the protagonist dialogue irrelevant, thus would require a TL note, but that's the cost of the liberal translation approach you went with for the name. Personally I think it should have just been left as Sameko. (I know this is trivial to the chapter, it just annoys me seeing weird attempts at mixing Japanese with English)

Page 27. If I was a villain, I would make use of the hero's kind hearted nature to give him a cursed artifact to screw him over while also providing the same sob story. In any case, this is one of those stories where I stopped reading the novel translation a long time ago and I forget where this chapter is or if I even read anywhere further beyond this point or if I even read anything in the novel up to this point.

In any case. Brave of the Queen to think that her guards have the power to actually stop him. She's just lucky he's an upstanding guy. Fairly sure he has the power to just decimate his way outta there if he truly wanted to. Though unlikely as anyone in their right mind wouldn't want to just make an entire kingdom their enemy for no good reason.

No need, just show his power and his subordinate's power to terror them, and he has elf as ally.
Then the queen would'nt do anything to them.
It's kinda similiar with country who has nukes, no one want to mess or attack those countries. And one of the reason why america not attacking russia by themself or using nukes.
