The Light Novel so far
has 900k words and is nowhere near close to being done. To put that in perspective, All 7 Harry Potter books have a total of a little over 1M words.

As someone who read both the Web Novel and Light Novel, it is besr you just treat the first Volume(Which will likely be Chapter 1-15 of the manga) as one long Prologue to the actual story and it is only by the end of Volume 1 that will his characterization be complete.

First 15 chapters of the manga being prologue is nothing. Hazure Hantei kara Hajimatta Cheat Majutsushi Seikatsu has 50 chapters of prologue for its manga, that's the 85 chapter prologue in the original novel with some scenes skipped (Web Novel is 900+ chapters long, but the prime meat of the story is the first 392 chapters, and the ending should have probably been at 725.)

no im talking about eat the world tree. there is definitely a lot of action but the initial pacing was pretty ass though sometimes the slow scenes add breathing room for slice of life stuff. Caveat is that it has to add room for the sex scenes given its an r18 novel on novelpia but the plot is just that good. It's a korean novel(the first and only one i've read) and thus doesnt run into certain japanese bullshit. If anyone reads KR novels reccomend me other shit. Be warned that I will deliberately compare it to eat the world tree since after all it's an r18 novel so clearly the standards are low . (the joke is because it's one of the top novels on novelpia).

The MTL of it comes out once like every fucking 25 chaps and given the hiatus it's not had an update in like almost a year for me.
