For a novel promotion, this is a bit too long, but if it's axed, why ending it like a promotion... Ugh... I shall read the novel

wait, what!? It's END!? should i read the novel to know the ending!?? Fuck you!!!?
Sadly the manga was dropped. We encourage anyone who was enjoying the manga to continue with the light novels our group is translating. We are currently on Volume 4 but the manga ends in Volume 2 Epilogue 1. If you would like to give the light novel a chance please feel free to join our discord or check out releases via novel updates.

I didn't expect it to end like this.
but considering the previous arc was kind of disaster, they probably only greenlit the last family visit arc just to close the series in better part of the story.

Well, I am more of LN/WN person so I am moving there. thank you for the translation.

THIS the reason why i always happy and more than willing to pirate Japs manga. I just can't understand why they always axe something good, but keep the bad one around.

They want me to buy the official physical release? Sure thing IF the story good and ending isn't this crappy.

I've tried a few times, I just find the format to be kinda cumbersome to read when translated to English - I have yet to find one that actually flows well.
Here's a few recommendations:
  1. https://www.novelupdates.com/series/the-happiness-that-the-shinigami-gave-me/ | Very emotional and had me crying as a 32 y/o man. It's pretty heavy at times and I highly recommend it as it's such a great story. Just hard to elaborate on without spoilers
  2. https://www.novelupdates.com/series/live-dungeon/ | Also has a manga adaption, but I prefer the novel as it has more details about the MC's thought process. Love the MMO vibe of it all as an MMO player. all the characters are interesting and the MC doing his best to limit his attachment to the world he found himself in is a rare take.
  3. https://www.novelupdates.com/series...yed-adventurer-ends-up-forming-a-harem-party/ | Standard "OP MC gets a Harem!" but it's one of the only novels where the OP MC actually understands what it means to be OP. There's 11 S-Rank adventurer's in the world, and he's the newest to that list and they're treated as 1-man armies and when a branch guild master tried to tell him to go to her office to discuss his punishment for fighting in the guild he literally goes "no. I don't think I will" and when she tried to be more forceful he said something like "Who's going to make me? You're not strong enough to make me do anything, even if every adventurer in this city worked together it wouldn't be enough." There's an isekai hero, but MC is just a dude from that world who trained his ass off. The harem feels natural too, no "we just met and you're strong!" members and 3/4 (4/5 if you count the one not physically in the party with them) knew him from when he was weak/average
I'll stop there for now lol

We REALLY need a way to tag these types of incomplete novel adaptation stories. Either cause they are ads, or cause they skipped parts of the original story in the manga version like this one does.

But doing so would be hard to do, cause some of these manga hide that they are not the full novel story until the very end when it slaps you with a surprise "BUY THE NOVEL TO CONTINUE" ending.

I don't know what it would be called; "Partial Adaptation" ?
I think the best way to do it is spoiling yourself and looking at the final chapter of the raws, if it looks to be a bad bleak ending then that means it was axed, promotional or some other dumb shit that makes it a waste of time

I started recently doing this like when a series has the completed tag I just go to the comments to see if people liked it to see if I'm wasting my time in even starting the series
another thing I do is when I get the vibes that the ending could be shit I just pause reading it early and wait for it to be completed because there's nothing more that I HATE then reading some garbage that ends in a axe or just horribly unfulfilling :shamihuh:

Oh trust me I have already been doing this for a while now as soon as I see the adaptation tag pop up.

I now see that tag as a warning to not get TOO invested in a manga.
