Yeah, It's actually crazy. They straight up gaslit him into second guessing himself. I would have never expected the Kouhai who was also cheated on to even say that to the MC.

It's pretty clear the author is leading towards Reina not actually cheating and the MC misunderstood and is dismissing any explanation she's been trying to give. The only thing Reina has confirmed was that they held hands but it could be the other guy coming onto Reina and her never reciprocating. I can totally understand if the ex felt left alone (while MC just had problems with his club ...) and felt insecure about Ayaka, that's understandable but that's an excuse to have a good chat, no directly hold hands with another guy in front of his house. At the beginning i thought maybe she just "tried" the old and stupid game of doing that to make him chase after her more, tho it backlashed into him breaking up.

Personally I'd just move out of that city and cut ties with probably everyone except Ayaka, All of them are manipulative asf, Especially that glasses wearing rat.
I get that people are siding with Reina's point of view when it comes to mc and Ayaka's relationship, But I really find it weird that their reading comprehension are that low. Reina decided to "experiment" with a guy that literally 'wanted' to be in a romantic relationship with her, And to make it worse she also locked fingers with him not just normal hand holding. And she could've just spoken to the mc about her insecurities.
