It's an anime, not just an anime movie (as far as I can tell):

And holy heck, looks like the dropping some money on this. (Though good chance that the "3D CGI" haters will complain.)

Though I'm a little concerned that they might make it too epic. Manga Elma is pretty down to earth, just enjoys the game/combat and readily shows his emotions. And speaking of emotional range, Luce has a lot of range in the manga. So I'm hoping that the anime does that as well.

Humor is a huge part of the appeal of the manga. I really hope that they don't strip that out in the anime. (Though to be fair, IDK how much the manga varies from the LN.)

The word "over-animated" springs to my mind. Ehh... I think that I'll just expect that the anime and the manga are different things.

To be fair, I think that this manga would be hard to animate as is. So much of what is good about it comes down the manga artist. And the pace of action isn't that fast. Add in the limited amount of content, and I can see the animation team having to expand on it.

Still... Shoujouish hair animation, orchestral walk scene... Well, we'll see.
