Oh come on, none of that will ever happen. No one is going to go against random scanlation groups. At worst, they'll send Mangadex another DMCA and and Dex will take the manga down. The big difference is now mangadex said they will not defend any scanlation group that uploads to the site. So if any litigation is filed against them, they can be down several hundred thousand dollars in court fees alone for a case they'll likely lose.
Did they defend them before? And is there anything to defend? I am pretty sure most sites that exist only to get stuff uploaded to them don't take responsibility for what is uploaded, otherwise they can't stay afloat. They all operate on the "we turn a blind eye until someone's lawyer gets up our arse" policyThe big difference is now mangadex said they will not defend any scanlation group that uploads to the site. So if any litigation is filed against them, they can be down several hundred thousand dollars in court fees alone for a case they'll likely lose.
The likeliness of anything happening at all to a scanlator is so small you shouldn't even consider it a possibility. If dex gets DMCA again or anything of the sorts they'll just remove the title. The big difference is now mangadex said they will not defend any scanlation group that uploads to the site. So if any litigation is filed against them, they can be down several hundred thousand dollars in court fees alone for a case they'll likely lose.
Funny that they still have the gall to ask for donations. Guess they only act like a legitimate business when it's convenientThe big difference is now mangadex said they will not defend any scanlation group that uploads to the site. So if any litigation is filed against them, they can be down several hundred thousand dollars in court fees alone for a case they'll likely lose.
I'm 41, so Miko could easily be my daughter, and back in high school I had a portable CD player (Sony Discman) and similar earbuds. They came free with the CD player, too, so they weren't all that special. As a few people noticed, the earbuds are kind of anachronistic. They technically existed, but weren't a widely available consumer product a teenager would have.
They themselves did. They sold everything to NamiComi. Total wipe is imminent.wait who said mangadex is dying?
