Funny how jecrois more or less explains the relationship between MD and Nami, then says serves them right, haha... Serves them right to collaborate? Or to stem from the same original group of people? Ok I guess?

And anyway, mangadex introduced naminomi to its community; if you want to support mangadex you have to go to namicomi, so who would think the two websites aren't related after that???

Imo this data you gave is interesting, but I don't personally care which particular name comes up in both organisations if it even does.
Telling the regulars that mangadex and namicomi are related seems quite useless, honestly, exactly like conversing with those who fear MD is doomed after Nami takes over management. They're just not making sense, imo.

But hey, at least you've looked into what you wanted, and maybe it does interest most people to know the name of the CEO or smth. Right now, though, for the extreme majority of users, I don't see how this particular info would be useful.
The important part is that it explain why mangadex isn’t fighting back and moving servers to Russia and stuff people otherwise suggest, the industry know who the owners are.

No, he doesn't say "serves them right" to MD as a whole, he says it to the mod for banning him, hence the "funny how Holiness becomes fragile when it's not me breaking it" Something something schadenfreude

You know, I've never seen a fax machine in action before. Does it work like printers? When you send messages through fax machines, does it print the messages or something?

I haven’t used a fax machine in ten years, but iirc you dial the fax number and then it scans the paper and sends it.
Used to have to use it for work, I’m fairly certain they still use it here in Norway.

Actually, NamiComi has been "in control" for a pretty long while now. It's always been in the Terms of Service, but.... Nobody has ever read them, apparently

It's an optical scanner on the sending end, and a printer of some sort on the receiving end. Some faxes print on regular printer paper (letter size or A4), but some older ones use a roll of paper (frequently thermal paper) and could print any length necessary. Usually you put what you wanted to fax in the machine (with a cover page), dialed the number, and once the machines connected, the sending unit would start scanning and sending, and the receiving machine would start printing. Modern machines can scan before calling, so all the data is ready to go once the connection is made, and can receive the pages without having to print as they go, which helps to speed up the process and allows for reprinting if needed.

Most places have gotten away from faxes and moved to scans of documents, but from what I understand Japan is still big on faxes, and occasionally you'll find a government office that uses faxes because of some legal technicality.

Same in Norway, for some odd reason digital transfer isn’t safe enough for the government, and you need to send it as a fax instead.
They also need to use floppy disks for some use here. That’s even more astounding. They don’t even make floppy disks any more.

Whoa, thanks for the additional info. I would've liked to see it in action
The thermal paper sounds interesting. First time I'm hearing of such thing.

It's not like this was not common knowledge before his message.

He's not explaining why MD isn't fighting back and whatever either, just giving names and clearing up the namicomi/md relationship (which was already addressed and in plain sight, very easy to see). And since I don't think specifically knowing the names is very useful for people, I just questioned the use of posting this, if not just for showing it's there (that's the only thing I can see rn, and that's not an issue at all).
Maybe knowing the names is important; perhaps some of you can clear up my misunderstanding in that case. That was why I made my previous comment.

There's no mention of mods before the "Them" but mentions of the staff and their endeavours with dmca and the joint partnership between md and nami. How can I understand he's referring to the mods and his ban (no mention of that either) if jecrois doesn't explain things that way?

Where'd that info come from? The hack a few years ago?
always been in the Terms of Service
I couldn't seem to find anything but the Privacy Policy and Site Rules in previous years of MD. Was it buried in the user settings or something?
