@Mangamoz, the Japanese audience comments have been fixed. They're kind of spicy.
Just because the comment section is open doesn’t mean people can write whatever they want.
There are way too many comments with zero morals, and even though the pacing was sped up because the serious plot wasn’t well-received, now people complain about it being sloppy—and those comments completely disregard others’ feelings, which is really unpleasant.
I hope everyone tries to comment with some respect and gratitude toward the author who’s working hard to keep the series going.
And I’d also appreciate it if the moderators delete any comments that are offensive to either side as much as possible. Thanks in advance.
Totally not the author's alt account. :pepela:

Regarding the first comment suggesting the manga might get axed—I doubt it. According to Shoseki Ranking, the first volume, released on 2025/01/23, sold an estimated 8,523 physical copies in its first month. I also saw a post on X from the author mentioning that it had a reprint. Unless the second volume turns out to be a complete sales disaster, I don't think it's at risk of being axed.
But volume 2 will cover this entire shit show right? I expect a steep decline in terms of sales. There have been lots of publications that got axed even with strong starts since authors couldn't keep the momentum and shit the bed (like here)

Interesting to see the Japanese comments talk about the biweekly schedule being a problem. Honestly I'd prefer it if MORE manga was biweekly, even if the pacing is the same, just to ease pressure on the authors.

It's all fun and games but his reputation with students/their families and teachers is already ruined
Yep, there's no way they can just pretend this didn't happen and bring him back to academy....

Right?

Drako's character is already ruined because of her association (regardless of how much the author tries to pretend she was getting felt up on a regular basis) and the antagonism she showed the other girls/Washio even when Julius wasn't around. What was her excuse then?

Wouldn't it have made sense to involve Washio from the beginning since he was also involved in the lab incident that was her justification for cozying up to Julius? In fact the entire reason Washio even recognizes that Julius was an actual "villain" and not just a slimy piece of shit was because Claudia mentioned the injection and he also recognized the name Julius Specter. This entire arc could have been avoided had Drako just told Washio from the start "Hey I'm here to investigate Julius because he's probably Julius Specter" and Washio goes "Oh shit, I remember him from the lab." before they work together.

I'm not gonna be delusional and say this was a 10/10 story that got shit on but it definitely had potential and the story premise was a bit more interesting then the usual nothing we get from what is ostensibly a vehicle for delivering big titty monster girls into the reader's brains. The concept of an isekai protagonist who has PTSD from his previous adventures might not be a novel one but it does lend itself to more interesting story telling. Gotta agree with others and say the author is going into full on damage control and they aren't being subtle about it. At this rate it's better to just end this arc as fast as possible.

Side note, I find it weird how we started to get some backstory for Washio during his time in the army and were even introduced to a friend of his (the person who supposedly compelled him to rescue the monsters from the lab) and then we got NOTHING again on that front. That is a much more interesting story angle to go down. What happened to said friend? Why were they interested in protecting monsters? What was Washio's relationship with them beyond their work in the army together? You can have a compelling character study in your monster girl harem fantasy manga and it doesn't even require a sleezy rapist as a villain. As much as Washio gets shit on for being a pushover, there is a reasonable excuse for it already established and the narrative hook of the entire manga should be seeing him deal with his PTSD and being able to appreciate life again...by way of big titty monster girls. This should be a feel good manga, with some heavy themes sure but overall hopeful and promising.

So he finally decided to get off his lazy ass after being told his stuff was forged? What the fuck is his breaking point?

In a better-written series, everything Washio is going through/doing would've hit better.

I mean, he spent a good part of being a hero (or whatever) building up that lab only to discover he was being used and, ultimately, destroyed that lab and escaped with the monstergirls.
He sees himself as a failure for not noticing it sooner and buries that memory under a ton of trauma.
He keeps trying to not remember that part of his life because it wasn't great, and only snaps into action when he finds out the jackass at the school he teaches at was the scientist behind the experiments at the lab he destroyed.

Like, that right there is a fine setup, nothing wrong with that. But, man, it just doesn't land when our antagonist is Shadow the Edgehog over here.

After reading ch.37, I'm even more disappointed.
She's brainwashed! Except not!! Except YES!!!
Frankly, even a bad plot that the author commits to is better than this roller coaster.

Where’s chapter 37??
On the translators' site that they advertise every chapter.

I think, this is intended concept of this manga, but there is skill issue on the author's part. Like a @ziomatrix says above, the setup is fine, but the execution is extremely clumsy.

Eh, at last he showed some semblance of having a spine and took some action. It might be too late to save the series, though.

Don't have the time to read that (and it's incomplete here in MangaDex), what happened?
First retcon in it was becuase author was about to have UB teacher ntr, second was because the author REALLY wanted to draw a threesome. The third (expected) retcon is because mcs childhood friend is (probably) banging a playboy.
