on the note of Otobe, I'm saddened by her role. I'm still stuck back on her intro where she was set on Kusonoki, and I thought she was gonna serve as a rival to Shizuki, with Hebikawa being the rival to Kusonoki

alas, it's still fairly rare for the gays to get rep in the straight romance manga

Irie is the breast girl
Otobe is the tanned tomboy girl
Kusunoki is the bland FMC

Kusunoki was better in the beginning but seems to have faded into the background lately. It's almost like she should be the female protagonist in a yuri harem, with those other interesting girls competing for her.

too bad this is 100% going to end like every other harem manga where the first girl introduced is the eventual winner. genuinely one of the most frustrating tropes in manga, especially when theres times (not the case with this one) where other heroines get more development and are generally more likable.
