Wait, the title still that awful version? I thought it would revert days after I saw it change... Please tell me that it is not remaining because that IS what the jp version actually says? :notlikethis:

Jokes aside, what is up with their cafe? Also a bit funny that all the girls is class is seemingly up for putting their assets on display like that, but the boy in the very same chapter was not up for less revealing outfits like china dresses.

Goddammit MC, you just got in trouble with your super cute GF because you kept secrets from her. Why not tell her you met a trap-kun who's into you????

I read a spanish translation of V3, so I don't know if there's even an english one.
nothing really happens. Shino goes to see Fujiwara, and he asks his friend and boss to not talk to him. She's, well, Shino, so he's paranoid she would get jealous. I do think something is gonna happen in later volumes, because the femboy is weird, and he acts like he likes Fujiwara, even though he know he's Shino' boyfriend (she knew about her beforehand). Or maybe he's just "too friendly" with his friends, but nothing has happened. In v3, there's a bit of a romance (kinda) between one of Shino's friend and a new friend of Fujiwara, a bit of lore, but it's just mostly slice of life stuff

Holy f I didn't even realize the change of name. Mangadex updates the title when a series gets an official translation, so maybe that's what happened.
And no, the title in japanese does not include "the babe", gringos like to change stuff just because...
localizers don't deserve to eat
English localizers are the reason I'm studying japanese lmao
Most of the time, other languages use the english translation as a base for their owns, wich is trash, because most english localizers are frustrated writers who love to change original product to fit their agenda. That's a problem that's been affecting japanese media since, well, forever

How would you translate "gyaru" for the normies?
Since leaving gyaru would be a no no for the normies (for some reason), I think just keeping 'girl', would be fine (gyaru=gal=girl). 'The girl at my back likes me", "the girl who sits behind me likes me", etc. There's multiple better options than... babe

Oh, for sure, just "Gal" doesn't have the same connotations in English as it does in Japanese, so if the goal is to communicate a similar sense for people who aren't plugged into the culture then something's got to give. "Translation is the art of failure" is a famous quote for a reason.

Fair enough. Maybe "flashy girl" or "cute girl" fits Shino better, since she's only a gyaru because she dyes her hair and uses make up, and doesn't fit into the "bad" connotations of a stereotypical gyaru. Still, I don't like the use of "babe" here at all

DETAILS!!! I DEMAND THEM!!! :finnawoke:
they had their first time in an onsen they went after christmas. Since it was Shino's first time, Fujiwara told her to dig her nails on his back. Some time later, their class goes on a trip, and when the men were bathing, the classmates saw the scars on Fujiwara's back, and he, showing some chad behavior, didn't care what they were saying and minded his own business. The valentine's day part, is that that's their second time and it's pretty cute. Plus, since Shino stayed at Fujiwara's house, her mom told him to use protection lmao
