"why did she not just shoot her herself, instead of hiding the tool she could easily do so with? Oh, because letting her kill her so there was a tiny chance some future victim would find the gun and do it instead is a much smarter choice for the queen of survival~"

Yeah I'm confused by it too
Only explanation I can think of is "organs so messed up, she can fake her death via a lethal shot that misses where her organs ACTUALLY are"
OR she just straight-up fakes her death with the corpse of somebody else.

Since the girls can lose limbs and other body parts due to the pills used to instantly stop the bleeding, the damage sometimes is to much and they have to get modifications done making them part cyborgs. Hakushi, yukis master has had so much work done to her that the majority of her body is cyborg at this point including her organs and she knew she would survive even with the damage done to herself. Yuki ends up meeting her again later in the story outside of the games. They never really explain why she left the weapon hidden tho
The weapon being left behind makes sense imho
it allows her to fake her death, since using the weapon herself to do the kill WONT work for faking her death (a dead person can't use a gun, therefore she must be alive if she used the weapon)
