It has the Yuri tag on comic walker, alongside a couple other interesting ones, so it's probably yuri, as they tend to err on the side of not tagging yuri as yuri in my experience.

Love the set up and premise. It'll be interesting to see if they bring up again that our MC can technically leave now if she wants, or if they let that thread drop. They could have her leave to get information or something at some point, and then she'd have to deal with the temptation of not going back.

Uzu is such a fun character too, getting some Fox Mulder vibes from her with a dash of deranged Junji Ito character. Already hooked.

I could see it being a combination of "save her from the monster that didn't work last time (Sounded like it might not be completely lethal? Or being in the vicinity didn't count?)" and "save her from one monster to earn her trust so it's easier to throw her under the bus train later". Page 58 definitely makes it sound intentional at least.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the class reacts (if they do at all). Although again, page 58 makes it sound like trying to lure people to their deaths is normal schoolyard behaviour in this place.

To be honest I had to reread the ticket portion a couple times cause I was a bit confused, but that’s just a me thing lol. I understand that Karen bought two tickets, but I’m just wondering: Was there a reason Karen bought a ticket for herself in that moment? Why not wait till the Returner punched Sakura’s ticket, killed her, and then buy her own? Was she planning on running away the moment the clock hit 6? But if that’s the case, I assume she’d already be at the station ready to leave with a brand new ticket, since Sakura definitely would’ve died without her new friend.
