Manga Rule #14: If it worked, don't think about it!When it comes to hostage situations, the whole point is that you can't shoot the taker without risking the hostage. That's why they're effective.
So we see a girl with no experience randomly throwing knives with zero luck straight at the hostage taker from the direction where the hostage would've been right in front, and managing to, after many unnoticed failed attempts, specifically hit the comparatively very small only part of his body unobstructed by a very vulnerable hostage... 🤔
This is described as a failing of the hostage taker, and not an unbelievably bad idea that, by actual bonafide miracle, didn't end in total disaster.
I believed this was covered:When it comes to hostage situations, the whole point is that you can't shoot the taker without risking the hostage. That's why they're effective.

No Mercy MC
Yknow im starting to see how his family got this rep.
This series is in an interesting position since it has no Light Novel and was directly adapted from the Web Novel.
However it seems the Mangaka has free reign to do whatever he wants with the story since he added stuff that was not in the Web Novel like Yuri meeting the Saintess last chapter which never hapened in the Web Novel.
Saintess was hot af so all is forgiven. Honestly, this has been rather good so far. The antagonists are actually somewhat competent and making a move upon minimal evidence. Can’t help but like it. And the protag is as tsundere as ever
