Thanks for all the work! I really enjoyed it - art and the moves themselves were all great. MC develops as a person and a wrestler. Maybe my only real issue with the series is that sometimes it’s kayfabe and sometimes it’s not and doesn’t know how to balance that.

I hope maybe you’ll do another wrestling manga if you find something that interests you.

The magazine it was in got axed. It doesn't seem like the author's done anything outside of this series either.

For whatever reason, AJW would have matches with male midgets on the cards. I would guess as comedy breaks or something but they were always really out of place. I remember the old school American tape trader fans hated pretty much any and all comedy wrestlers for a long time. Numacchi in the '90s and Sakura Hirota in the 2000s were like public enemies number one for them.

I'd say he drew venues reasonably accurately, I think it's more that he didn't get to draw a wider variety of them. But I've seen enough shows that I recognized Korakuen Hall the few times it popped up (this chapter I believe and the Yu vs. Kawachi match) at least.

Hahahaha oh man, I remember the days of peak Sakura Hirota. She and Chigusa Nagayo had that undercard comedy tag team in GAEA for a while and dudes just hated them like poison.

(notable exception: this classic match with Mayumi Ozaki and KAORU, the secret greatest brawlers of the Y2K era.)
