Yeah, this is basically a summary of the later chapters. It gets some things wrong:

The cotton thing: Miranda went into crisis mode when she had her first period, so she built a medical research institute in order to invent the tampon.

Teal was managing a city as part of his Heir training, and the roads were getting worn down, to which Miranda invents rebar-reinforced concrete. That's why the research institute was built to be like a WWII bunker, to flaunt her invention.

Was there ever any real point to Miranda's sex change? I can see it with Teal being very accepting to dressing up as a trap, but Miranda has always been so girlish, it seemed as if the author themself forgot about her being a dude in her last life sometimes.

In the author's defense, the story established pretty quickly that Miranda had the heart and mind of a girl even in her past life. Hence "Mental Otome" being the title. (otome means maiden, keikaku means plan) The implication there is that Miranda was basically a non-dysphoric trans girl in her past life, so it makes sense her reincarnation is just a happy girl doing happy girl things. It's pretty ironic there isn't much TS nutrition in this as such, the closest we get is Teal squirming from being crossdressed.

While on that topic -- "trap" as a term has some painful connotations in the LGBT community. Rest assured something like "femboi" is totally OK though, nobody reasonable would object.

That's unfortunate - we never even found out what was causing the time looping or what was the big problem that was killing the original soul of the MC (and likely the prince as well). It basically was just a slice of life, light, and frivolous story all the way through... not that it wasn't charming in its own way, but the hook of the future is probably what was the most compelling aspect, and it was never touched upon after the initial isekai-ing.
In a way, there's little to say about this series, because so little really happened, despite it having a good few chapters.

Regardless, it was a charming and fun series, but there's just so much wasted potential

Nah, to me "trap" was a word I always used with a wink, since characters described as such in manga and anime tend to be very open about their biological sex. I never considered that someone might feel so seriously about it.
