My memory of the novel in this point is mixed up, mainly for foreign elements like
the lawyer, I don't remember MC interacting with his lawyer so much, I think he simply had a firm representing him for that stuff, but that was the web novel, light novel changed a lot of stuff, like the princess in the isekai, she didn't exist originally and it was retconned in the WN only after many years, I think only after the manga started to be more precise.
So I can't tell exactly how the next chapter will go, but MC will change the requirements and accept the deal, at the very least the level carry.

In a short future arc a gamer tried to guilt trip MC into levelling him for free, saying how it would help himself, the stats increase from levelling up makes anyone better at anything for icnreased strenght, intelligence and reflexes, of course the story have to force a lot of natural born idiots on MC so some adventurers seem to have lost the INT stat, this guy only wanted a easy carry to become the best gamer in the world, for free, MC refused by listing the long list of adventurers that paid for the service and then noting how the prick being low level could just do some quick exp on his own, but th guy is a coward that doesn't want to risk, and he gets dethroned as top gamer from someone that levelled just a bit more.
Asshole tried to push a public defamation on MC for not helping people but was shut down pretty quick from MC already doing it as a job and that actually doing it would be a insult to the peopel that scheduled and spent money, the list was months if not years long.
