I don't remember this from the novel?
old man becoming a monster? i do, but not her being described as naked 🥵 God damn ha
The fight with Theraclede doesn't appear to have happened in the Novel but Linford turning into a giant monster did in the last parts of Volume 4
could've sworn she did, or was that after wolfy chased him off? been a bit

In the Web Novel in this arc there were only 5 magic stone soldiers and in the light novel only 1,
then in a future arc time travelers appear and reveal that in the original timeline there were 100 and absorbing so many magic stones made Shishou become a very powerful sword, the Zealyse of the future told the Zealyse of the past that it would be better to use the magic stones in another way causing Shishou to not strengthen so quickly, in previous chapters they showed us large numbers of magic stone soldiers which indicates that this manga is trying to represent the original timeline (I say trying because it ruined Fran, Amanda and the Demon Princess's personalities not to mention the immense amount of changes to the story that can barely be explained merely by the fact that it's a different timeline) that means that by this point Shishou must have ranked up at least 2 times and in the next chapter we could see him improving abilities beyond just getting advanced spatial magic and being able to use magic without a chant. (the skills he gained during this fight in the Novels).

An example of a difficult-to-explain story change is that the old man told Fran:

My plan is to revive the evil god.

I bet you thought I'd say that.

You're stupid? If the evil god revives, the world will be destroyed. Who would want that?

All I want is power, and the evil god will happily give power to anyone who's evil, even if they don't actually worship him.

So his Zealot personality doesn't make sense, unless one of the time travelers told him that by performing the ritual, he could gain evil power without having to worship the evil god.

(He also didn't mention that he summoned Murelia, Perhaps the time traveler also told him to keep that a secret.)

this was a whole lot better back when it was about being reincarnated as a sword, before all this "evil" everything bullshit that the plot seems to be about now. why is sticking to a premise seemingly so hard?
Maybe to give what'serface who wants to be Fran's mum an excuse to come back? It seems like this is a setup for "No one in the city can beat the summoned 'evil god[dess]' who 'loved the people' (wtf?)".

Yes, she loves everyone. That's why she wants to either kill them or turn them into Evil Evils who Evil because Evil.

Dammit, somehow the impracticality of that idea reminded me of one especially-accursed chapter of Gantz:
Near the end, the American team descends into pointless barbarism and random lechery, because Americans. Including one who forces one of the giant aliens to hold still while he violates the laws of physics.

Such a nasty accident with that sword hitting his ally. Hoped hot, naked evil space god would punish him but I guess making him a mindless monster is kind of a punishment.
