then just punish the royal who summon them, not all inhabitants in that world. Hero was asshole,.simple as that. drunk with that power. He can try find that way to return and punish the one who summon he didn't he?
Princess was right to slave summoned people based the historical facts that happen. you basically dealing with potential nuke. in her point of view. but still wrong in point of people being summon. but if anyone to blame,.blame the previous hero to set a precedent that all summoned people is dangerous.
The princess not even selfish, she is a good ruler that do anything for her citizen and country. summoning was last resort to save her country. she could be better thou in treatment to summoned people, if she communicate and deal better.
Plus it medieval society, leader would buy slave to make an army to protect the country so can't totally blame them for that mentality. basically she put her subject as no.1 priority and as a leader, nothing wrong with that.

So if the author does try and redeem her, was that the plan from the start, or did it change to that because she was potentially another pretty lady to add to the MCs harem?

So they kidnap someone, and force them to go to war, and then are surprised when he reciprocates and treats them as less than human as well? Yeah, her BS excuses don't work on me - in fact, she was well on her way to making another demon king, by kidnapping people, training them, all while abusing them. Surely one of them would become strong enough to break their bonds eventually, and then it'd have been too late.

A hero in the past became a demon king, so we thought the best plan was to summon an entire class of potential heroes/demon kings then mentally, emotionally, and physically traumatize them (plus work/starve one to death) in hopes it would work out better this time...f'n really? I think the princess genuinely wants to be freed from her responsibilities and become a plaything at this point.

She is lucky Kento is very nice and has enough self restraint because anyone of us would have taken these alien humans to murder town. In her case its even more stupid since she has to devote resources to keep the heroes in line which should have been used to prepare for the deamon hordes. I'm willing to bet the previous hero was probably screwed over by her Kingdom too hence he turned in the deamon lord.
Also, fight your own wars instead of relying on others. With other isekai stories scummy kingdoms are at least smart enough to deceive their heroes or not treat them like absolute shite.

8 of 10 ppl can't handle receiving power/money out of nowhere, and feels that things should go their way, because they have money/power.
Let's hope author doesn't do that.
let's be real, if ppl were subjected to what mc suffered, the revenge wouldn't be mild, ppl kill others right now for even less and without having "real power"

The he that was not treated bad they are talking about is not the MC. The hero who did those things in the story was treated as a hero and got spoiled. So was not treated badly yet turned that bad.

...not five seconds have passed and Camilla already has the upper hand in this sorry attempt to threaten her.
So much for teaching her a lesson for treating his classmates as slaves ,outright starving one of them to death with intent and litteraly sending him to be eaten alive by goblins, for the sin of having no powers.
Regardless of her reasons for doing so, the MC should be actually beating the information out of her instead of politely listening to what some past hero did...I sincerely hope the author is not using this bullshit demon king excuse in order to exonerate her enslaving and torturing children to avoid a similar "demon lord's" birth.
