did she think the daughters were basically managing themselves? Because if she ever had non-family talents, she should have an idea of what their management teams should be.

I think it's this because Mom fundamentally thinks men aren't capable of doing anything. Thus one manager for all her daughters is just so no one comments on them not having managers.

I think the mom genuinely believes her daughters are super geniuses who can manage everything themselves and have only been held back by the mandatory Y chromosome in their lives.

So all she has to say is the immense pressure of being an idol got to her and she had a breakdown. 6 weeks at spa and she starts her come back tour with her fans even more devoted to her.

Also why does Japan still not have an equivalent phrase to "fuck off bitch"?

I'm assuming the photo see took has alcohol in the background or maybe she took a risqué shot of herself on accident that she didn't intend to post. Either way I feel bad for Rima as she really doesn't know what she got herself into & is going to be used as a scapegoat depending on how much that idiot ruined her idol image. Just from this chapter & for now, Mutsuki is the 2nd worst person in the family (Mom holds the title for now). Thanks for the translations.

The webnovel
directly says Mutsuki accidentally included her empty beer cans in her social media photo.

From what I remember it's only the second youngest, and the youngest sister to join MC back. The second youngest, the singer, is not that deserving of MC's forgiveness since she didn't really want him as part of the family, unlike the youngest, the youtuber. The youngest is actually really on MC's side from the beginning, happy that he was finally out of the family that hates him.

In regards to the singer, she only wanted to join MC back because she will find out that he was V (Five-San), a renowned vocaloid composer.
Hope that they sell that sixth sister really well, but I have a sneaking suspicion they will, in fact, do the opposite and she will dodge any guilt because "she didn't actively partake in treating MC like shit." It's distressing how many JP manga/anime/novels seem to think inaction in the face of wrongdoing is not tacitly condoning said wrongdoing and that you should just be forgiven if you say: "I'm vewy very sowwy!🥺"

It's likely not the first one ever, but this is the first time I see this premise not being in an isekai manga lol. I like it.

So, this entertainment company, the employees are 75% his family, with the talents being 100% his family? And it was created when he was 5 or something? I don't get how the mom doesn't understand how the company should work, that he was the only one managing everyone; did she think the daughters were basically managing themselves? Because if she ever had non-family talents, she should have an idea of what their management teams should be.

If its always been him doing everything and never anyone else, the company can't be much more than 10 years old since he wouldn't be able to do shit as a babbling toddler, and if so, what suddenly prompted the entire family to go into entertainment? the oldest getting scouted for a commercial and she decided she didn't want middlemen eating the profit and made her own company? Then forced the rest of them into it? This feels like it should have been multi-generational to get to the fact the whole family is in on it, but him being the sole manager while being ignored is harshly against that concept.
This is why I turned my brain off in ch 1.

This or This maybe This
I have the feeling that you already read all of these tho.
Modern Zamaa is kind of harder to find.
I've read thee three titles you linked to, but I'm new to the author you mentioned, and "The Teen Web Novelist is a Girl Magnet." Thanks for the recommendations!

Speculative thoughts based on web novel equivalent of Ch 5:

Here, it includes 2 interesting details:
  1. The reasons the Secretary stuck around is out of gratitude for the Grandmother.
  2. The Mother is a cheapskate for anything not directly related to herself or her daughters.
We can sufficiently surmise that the Grandmother was a genuinely great and respectable person who built up all the original wealth, especially if she placed the "until 18" clause for Atsumu as a measure of protection. And the Mother is just riding on the inheritance.

All I'll say is that the web novel readers have a load of morbid questions about the Mother's... "how's".

I doubt that was the problem with it. There is no issue for alcohol to be in selfies (assuming she is old enough to buy it. Because if not then there is an issue in that there might be someone selling alcohol to minors) or even if stuff are risque (particularly it that's only accidentally). Considering it could terminate a brand deal, it must instead have been something like containing products from a competitor, or something politically loaded.

Even celebrities are people, so one is to expect them to still have a life outside the camera. And any signs of said life is not a bad thing.

Just like MC, she's 18, so a minor, since in Japan majority and Drink is at 20 and above :p
So yeah, someone in a position of influence like her getting wasted as a minor and posting it? She'll get a HUGE backlash

Due to how idols in Japan are treated, a underage drinking scandal for her is MUCH worse than the equivalent happening to a western underage celebrity. Think of it more like the reaction you would expect here if a teen celeb posted themselves doing drugs.

Oh, yeah then there is an issue. SHE should not get any backlash, but her company/family/whoever enabled her to buy said alcohol, will. And I would not be surprised in the police launches an actual investigation. And her parents are also liable for legal troubles, if there is any sign that they might have been aware.

Nah, that's an issue in their country's idol culture. Not an issue with the selfie or its contents. Idols are still people and should be expected to have a life off-camera [...].

I totally agree with you that idols, stars, celebrity and all "public" people should definitly have the right to their private life, obviously if their conduct isn't against the law, but if a celeb wants to get wasted from time to time or have a good time with his lover no one should bother (As long as they don't bother other people)

But here it's different, in term of backlash, sure like you said the other people who enabled her to get wasted should be investigated and all, but she herself also need to take responsability, she's under many contract, endorsements and whatever and she's old enough to understand what's what. Here not only is she breaking the law, she's violating many contracts and crushing her own public image. Why do you think she SHOULDN'T receive any backlash? o_O
