In all seriousness, Neji will probably tell Remu's onee chan about what Azuki is "doing" (trying to bed Remu "in her own head") and causing a rip between all three.

Usui Shio managed to again make this chapter perfect, better than the last one, and with promise that somehow, the next one will be even better.

Last chapter prepared us for Azuki spiraling after meeting with Meguru, but Usui Shio turned this expectation on its head, inflicting damage upon Remu first, and dealing the greatest blow to Niji later!

And of course, the art of how all this was conveyed, simply immaculate! The use of the black stairs as a canvas for Remu's thoughts, to convey her state of mind, the look of her eyes; and Niji's expressions and view of the world, going from mildly disinterested, to anticipating the worst from a review, to ease from the review being positive, to the world going out of focus as her eyes are out of view, to desperately attempting to feign disgust at her own fanfiction, to attentively paying attention to Remu pointing out the discrepancies against her will, to blankly despairing at Remu telling her the story's Remu is nothing like her, and so on (I wrote way too much here) - it's all so well-drawn, at times on the level of simple details, at times at a greater scale, but always perfectly executed.

Remu will ask for Azuki to grope her breasts under the pretence that the doll isn’t quite puffy as she wanted. I don’t know how karaoke booths work but I assume Niji wouldn’t hear the conversation and would completely ignore the clay that’d provide that context, so her mind would immediately go to “her much older coworker is taking advantage with my precious Remu”.

This could go a lot of ways. She could

1) get inside and Remu will freak out because she’d think her friend found out about her paraphilia (and will assume she’s disgusted), any attempt at explaining something will fall into deaf ears and Niji will storm out before saying something to the effect of “This is wrong!” (cut to some misunderstanding on everyone’s part)

2) take a picture and use it to blackmail Azuki (not Remu, I don’t think she’ll show her obsessed side to her YET), for what purpose I can’t imagine yet, maybe the classical “stay away from her or I’ll show this to your boss or former classmate who just so happens to be Remu’s sister”

3) not using the information to confront anyone and instead using it as a plot point (twist it in a way to make the coworker be harassing the FMC), maybe get deeper and deeper into her fanfiction until she snaps and/or gets into a major depressive episode

I do hope she never gets exposed as the author of the fanfiction, that’d be social murder. There is no way she’d ever recover from it and she does not seem to have a good support system at home to fall back to once all her friends start hating her for doing something mildly creepy.
Only wrong part is using the real names imo… Using your crush as inspo for fiction isn’t super weird, but since she decided to use the real name, she’s fallen in love with the character Remu instead of the real one and refuses to admit they are completely different entities. I hope all that happens to her is major heartbreak.

She could eventually confess to Remu and get rejected without exposing herself as the author to the story, as long as the friends shut up about it.
Niji could lie and eventually say she thinks it’s a friend they don’t know and after the story comes to an inevitable end (be it a conclusion or just not posted anymore) she can spin it and say she confronted said friend who said they’d stop. The friends will not pry into the reason why the friend decided to write romantic fanfiction, Remu herself after being confessed to could simply assume that the friend did it because Niji expressed her feelings to them, etc.

Then she can redeem herself by minding her own damn business from now own.

But the only one with borderline stalker behaviour is Niji imo. So if I had to pick the worst one in terms of ENDING YOU socially, it would definitely be between the “obsessively making a doll of your ex” and “writing about your crush in fanfiction and using her real name and many real life information”, because they have to do with using others for your delusions without their consent.

People can say the plushie girl is “coping” and that the girl into licking dolls isn’t so far from people who have sex dolls (if they don’t get into what she’s really about and twist it into the “she’s airing out her desires on this object because she like the female body”). Like, these two can be twisted into something less prone to judging, is what I mean. Any of the secrets being out would be terrible.
