A lot of people think bullies like this are unrealistic, But I've met many people like this, And the main character might accidentally kill somebody because he doesn't know how strong he is, that's funny

These kinds of bullies mostly came from jealousy and seeking attention, btw.

Maybe. They can still go straight to hell, though.

I can understand having crappy parents and no home training, but at a certain point you need to learn right from wrong.

I just can't understand the bullies that torment someone just because they are friends with a popular person, appears in so many stories, just don't get it.
Its a culture thing. Japan still has a lot of families with power and quasi nobles, their schools are owned by old families with deep pockets and connections, all former students of the school form a web of connections. This is why they ask for where the students want to work, and teachers even reach out and get job applications and help them get a job in companies. Its a trading of favors the teachers use to make connections.
Teachers also want to have students with good grades as it makes them look good, students want funds to do to their clubs. They want the schools name to matter more for grades. And they want to suck up to teachers who have helped prior students into companies and kept connections with them.
This all leads to teachers want bad scoring students to drop out, so students bully them to push them out to suck up to the teachers. And this also means the image of the school is better grade wise, and less competition for club funds. This is also why they bully students for forming connections that they want.
There is a lot of corruption and these politics in their schools, to the point these schools often exert control on the students even off campus as if they are law enforcement.
The school system is deeply messed up there, and the government has been trying to gain control of it for quite some time.

It's a sad state of things when attending a less desirable school might be better for your child's mental and emotional health, since, as far as I understand, these issues are less prevalent in those. :shamihuh:

Not really, if anything they are worse as the students are desperate over fewer connections the teachers have.
Also remember that a schools worth is decided by the public. So the less desirable ones are so because the teachers are more blatantly rotten and the bullying is worse.
The high end schools hide it better, and the teachers have more connections to the students are not competing for them as much.
In both cases bad grades get you treated harshly. Good grades also get bullied in both, but there are more slots for recommendations in high end, so the bullying isn't as wide spread but still present.
The real difference is in the middle ground. High end schools there is next to no bullying of the average grades. Vs its often bad for the average grades in low end schools.

Yikes, I'm always flabbergasted by how miserable student life is over there. Well, it explains why their media is the way it is at least. :haa:

I never understood the logic behind using too much strength by mistake, and not applying it to EVERY action he takes. I understand that the kick would've killed the guy, but simply intercepting his punch and parrying/blocking it cause the guy's arm to break in multiple paces. Wouldn't him trying to get dressed in the morning completely ruin his outfit? Or him trying to open the door would break it off it's frame?
This may be a shocker for you, but do keep in mind that one of the things that made us puny humans into the apex predators of this world despite our shortcomings is the fact we produce our very own combat stims. I know it's an HFY trope, but it exists as a trope for a very good reason, that being that it's real, quantified, and measurable.

Adrenaline is a helluva drug, yo. (And endorphins and dopamine, too, for that matter.)

Not saying that it's the only reason why he's going all World-of-Cardboard on these clowns, but it's not helping much with the fine control. The difference between dispatching idiots and regular life tasks being that the idiots are triggering an adrenaline surge while the shirts and doors are just there, existing inoffensively.

That's actually one of the biggest Japan-isms of them all - the whole "conformity" thing. If you're not sticking you neck out, just plugging along, not drawing any attention, just working to get by without complaint or grandstanding, then you are generally disregarded because you're just one of the herd.

Being outstanding is only barely tolerated because of the whole prestige thing, which you already covered. And even then, there is a metric-multi-fuck-ton of toxicity to wade through.

Yeah, it's pretty god-awful over yonder. They love to project this image that there's absolutely nothing wrong - just like how they try to downplay the attrocities they committed during WWII. Meanwhile, their mental health system is practically a dumpster fire floating in an irradiated tsunami (not that its much better than here in the USA), and child abuse is rampant as fuck.

I mean, just take a look at schools in anime even cheerful feels good ones. The fences on the roof, they are so normalized in anime. And their purpose is to hinder students jumping.

Adrenaline seems like an acceptable answer. Okay, I'll take that, it makes sense.
