Just saw the rating score of this manga and was shocked. Like, wow, I mean, it's not that good, but it's not that bad either.

4.xx is kinda harsh.
Its because it deals with Netorare, and it blew up in exposure at the beginning, so people who hate the mere concept of netorare came and review bombed the manga.

I know this because I'm the one who has been comissioning the translation of this manga from the very beginning, and even when it was only 1-2 chapters it suddenly recieved hundreds of negative ratings.

I then discovered it had blew up in youtube, reddit or tiktok, where people read the synopsis, saw the first chapter and then gave it a negative rating because of their hatred of the genre netorare, not the manga itself.

Because a LOT of people downvoted this manga, thinking it was NTR bait and the bad guy was (In the untranslated RAWs they didn't even read) fucking and mindbreaking all the heroines... which turned out to be false.

If someone is wondering how this story will progress...

The bad guy (Ryou) loses. The MC (Kouki) eventually forms an alliance with Nitori, and together they devise a plan to unmask Ryou... and despite some problems along the way, they eventually succeed. Even the girls assaulted by him (A secondary and one of the heroines, who is NOT Kotoha), manage to pull themselves together and overcome what happened, helping in the plan.
Ryou admits defeat and leaves the school... But that leaves the school nurse, who is very upset because the guy she was fucking left, and wants to take it out on the MC.
What happens next? Only time will tell...

So, yes. This is NOT a NTR bait. It's a story of romance, overcoming a terrible situation... something I've been waiting a long, long time for from the “reincarnated in a story with a bad ending” genre, which only knows how to employ that trope by having the reincarnation take place in the villain's body... which immediately removes 90-95% of any hardship or struggle the original story might have had.

From a story perspective him refusing to do it with her will make the most sense. Not only it smells like a trap, but it might only create drama and misunderstandings later with the main heroine.
Still...I won't deny that seeing this girl losing to the protagonist's dick would feel satisfying.

Some things happen in the beggining pointing it into a NTR edgefest at first and people made up their minds and lied.

I went to check the raws out of morbid curiosity to see how bad it would be. This is relatively tame and mangas with these themes are usually way worse. Of course there is the usual shittiness of an ecchi manga, but you knew what you were going into.

Is not THAT bad to the point of having 4 stars, following the logic of the people who point things in this site. Should be around 6.

Let's not pretend this better than it is, this is still a shitty ero manga with a hard to stomach theme in the background, it's normal people would dislike it.
I never once made a judgement call on how good or bad this is as a story, so don't even think about putting words in my mouth there until I outright type it like I will now. I would argue it's not shitty though just because NTR is a subject that makes people feel shitty doesn't mean the stories are all bad. I think overall of the various anti-NTR stories that heavily use the subject this one is probably the most simple so far with the least immediate anti-NTR up front, however, we haven't even gotten any pay-offs for all the set-up that has been presented to us. All we have is some spoilers from novel readers, and what is translated from this adaptation so far.

It doesn't change the fact that you can 100% comfortably bet that moral grandstanders nuked the rating of this without actually reading it, or bothering to understand what kind of story is being told.
