It's nothing to do with lightspeed travel or anything (Imperial ships are FTL anyway); Imperial nobles simply live for centuries or longer. At this point in the story Liam himself is over 60 years old.

I don't think it will go that way, I don't remember this girl in the web novel but I think there was a yaoi fangroup in the previous school, I think she is a novel character and was added so to make us follow the yaoi side thing more.
There will be no yuri, when her fate is a unknown to me I know that MC knights are VERY straight, if any her life is at risk because they could feel this yaoi fanfics are depicting MC in a bad way, or one he wouldn't like and she will be allowed to live only for their friendship.
I know they are straight because MC dissapears for a certain period and some give him for dead, when that happens the 2 knights start a semi civil war to get his seed.

She joins what is essentially the police of the captial planet to wipe out a drug and spread Yaoi, because she fears Kurt has taken a sex/gender black market drug. The drug in this case is a temporary sex flip that can be addictive, but is primarily illegal due to making a mess of family lines for nobility/royalty. There is no real social stigma to it (gender reassignment), but Yaoi shipper girl fears that Kurt and Liam's 'love', and her ship, is tainted by Kurt going girl.

This is leading to her basically becoming the head of police in the capital cities underground as she takes over district after district. And the police getting filled with Yaoi shippers. I'm not entirely sure Yaoi Shipper Girl has any interest in any romantic/sexual relationship that isn't watching Kurt and Liam in nude male bodies sword fighting unarmed.
