It's not just the fact of her being a minor, it's both Yamada and Kyo opposing those scenes as well. ''What is a bra but a lacy swimsuit'', well it's her being in underwear in front of and engaging with guys who are not her boyfriend

I will not that be critical, apart from her being underage, kiss scene (not straight sex I would say tbh), is part of being an actor, like dying is for a soldier or being super busy for a doctor.

It is called job hazard, and pretty common across adult lives, all equally demeaning in a relationship, but you gotta manage it ngl, among yourselves, or give up the relationship or your job, whichever is more dear.

The US is actually an outlier in terms of having adults play characters who are minors. It's not uncommon for actors who are under the age of majority in Europe to perform romantic or otherwise "adult" scenes. But, it's still typically up to the guardian on whether or not they can participate in the scene. Obviously, there are still laws that prevent them from having the actors perform sexual acts.

In terms of how this is going to play out, Anna's probably going to be pressured to perform the scene. The amount of pressure and actual benefit gained from doing these scenes is not a secret and it would most likely give her a lot of attention and opportunities.

Fyi Im only at around after the confession and checking out when the arc is over to binge it but my 2 cents is that this is getting too much into ntr territory for me in a romance if she actually does kiss for a scene. I don't mind heavier topics but borderline ntr isn't one of them. Onk avoided this despitealso beingin the entertainment industry by making Akane Aqua's gf and Kana as an idol and didn't have to deal with Kana's romance due to the ending

Thanks for pointing it out. It's still bugging me how casual Japanese treat children as adults, encourage them to do things they normally wouldn't be allowed in any other civilized country. Sexualization of infants and the whole concept of "loli" are straight out disgusting. A radical change is needed in the so-called Japanese "entertainment" industry.

I've started to realize that this story has risen above its intended romcom genre, and has been for quite a long time. We're no longer merely wishing that the two main characters end up together, we're now exploring what it means to exist in an adult world, overcoming its challenges, and seeing if their bonds are strong enough to withstand it all.

The usual weakness of the romance genre is that once the pair gets together, that's already the endpoint and reader interest dwindles gradually. That's pretty much why romcoms tend to go on for way too long. I myself am guilty of this, having dropped a story to no fault of its own except give the payoff way too early. This story, just like how Nagatoro infused Martial Arts and Art Appreciation, has defeated that weakness and still goes strong. Author is secretly GOATed.

Well, I think kissing and sus scenes are part of acting, I mean I know movies where partners of actors (albeit popular) came to the set to make sure that their partners were not too intimate with their heroines/heroes in sus scenes, BBBBBBUT!!!!

BUT, Anna is freaking 14, so yea, I don't think due to any reason other actors should even touch a 14 year old, heck, touch a under 18 year old like that, so that's that.

It makes me wonder why they even considered her for the role if there was the possibility of a sequel that would contain the more sexually explicit scenes. I know it's for drama purposes but I find it hard to believe that no one would question the fact that they casted a 14 year old for a character that has sexual relationships in canon.
