You can't be mad at her but you can clearly call her a dumbass if she's choosing work > over MC(I think work is more important too)

I don't know about Japan but in most countries, it's either illegal or highly restricted and more generally highly unprofessional/inappropriate/unethical (choose whichever), it's not a question of putting work above romance.

Its def not illegal but it is highly unprofessional/inappropriate/unethical like you said it just looks really bad and it brings up the question if they are fit for the job hence yea if she went out with MC then she'd probably would get fired or lose alot of status that makes her her, hence its just a ass position she chose to get stuck in.....
