This is somewhat true, but i don't agree with that last part. I say there is reason to pearl clutch over Gotou losing Akito, especially to Inukai. My justification is that this is Gotou's story, and although he is an unlikeable MC, naturally I'm on his side. Akito being with another right now would be gut wrenching corruption and NTR, I get into that a little below, so much nuance here. Im definitely not on the playboys side, the guy who is literally okay dipping in a girl while she sleeps, as well as the fact that he is kind of written to be very unlikeable. Gotou may be similar to him in ways, as he admitted in chapter 68, it's literally titled "even though its wrong". He knows what he is doing is wrong, but he isn't doing this to hurt Akito, but as payback against Inukai for going after Akito (which is deserved imo). Who in his eyes was the pure girl that he had started to have feelings for, which is why he told Inukai that she is off limits, meanwhile, he didn't say that about Shina or Agawa. Following the MC most of the story, and then having the innocent childhood friend introduced, makes me not want to see her on her back for Inukai of all people or anyone else for that matter.
I've said this before, I am personally against Akito doing it with others because she likes Gotou and wouldnt be doing it out of genuine attraction, it would be to become a slut for him though that isnt the way she SHOULD go about trying to attract Gotou. They both like each other, and seeing the person you like with another is always gut-wrenching, on both sides. There is so much more nuance here. Gotou does like Akito and we saw that before they had sex. He should have locked her down then, but he also still liked Agawa so its not as easy as just saying "Just get with her". I dont see a problem with him liking and wanting both Agawa and Akito, in fact im for it. Like I said there is so much nuance but this response is already long enough. Now if Gotou and Akito decided to remain friends, or he just kept it very vague and she ended up doing another guy out of attraction to him, then sure, she is free to do that, Gotou would be at fault for not taking action. But right now that isnt the case. Any sexual contact with another would feel like NTR from Gotou's eyes, and vice versa, this would feel like NTR on Akito's. But you also have to remember that she only did it with him, and she knew he did it with others and to some degree was okay with it. So the circumstances and positions were different. Akito probably saw Gotou at the summer festival and thought "why didnt he invite me?", instead of "are they doing it" (this is just my speculation, i could be wrong). Im for Gotou wanting Akito to himself, even though he is doing Shina right now. Yes it hypocritical, but so be it, there seems to be a harem subtext to this serialized version and those sort of relationships are asymmetrical by nature. I dont want see Akito slutted out and used by other dude, nor some revenge NTR in the name of making things fair and equal🤮.
You do make a good point though, this is good reason for Gotou to lose Akito in some way, but we've already seen that she is aware of Gotou's sexual escapades with Agawa and Shina, yet she still likes him, in fact she sees herself as in competition with those 2. But having the pure innocent childhood friend tainted by her doing it with Inukai as some sort of get back, equalizer, and just gut-wrenching NTR, Would not be a good thing in the slightest. Especially since Gotou and Akito like each other. Theres no telling how this will turn out, I do see your pov. But i kind of disagree with it. I do agree that what is doing is and would hurt Akito if she knew about it, but that isnt his intention, and Inukai deserves it imo. I REALLY do not like him😂💢
I don't mean to sound or seem rude, but this take is rather weird to me. Do you want Inukai and Akito to get together? Do you really sympathize with a guy like Inukai right now? Do you want there to be some sort of revenge NTR as an equalizer? Are you against Gotou being selfish and wanting them to himself? I can see that last part being popular with people, but im for it.
Im asking genuine questions and not trying to say this is what you're saying. Personally, I wouldnt find that (revenge NTR by Inukai) funny or entertaining, just gut-wrenching, honestly. While what he is doing is wrong and gives good reason for him to lose Akito, i still wouldnt want to see her slutted out. I don't think anyone wants to see the pure childhood friend go down that route. This does not excuse Gotou for his behavior, but hell, im for him cucking Inukai, wanting and getting all the girls (At least Agawa and Akito) to himself. Akito might even be down for a threeway, given how much she likes him. People cant seem to handle the harem dynamics at times, and how those relationships can be asymmetrical. Im okay with it and okay with Gotou wanting and going after BOTH Agawa and Akito to have for himself.
