I wonder how many ppl would feed a stranger like that but I guess it depends if it’s less of a pain to treat to a meal versus dealing with cops/ambulance or so

Hm quite a reaction to the seat tho, I’ wonder how it’d be like if they meet grandparents /in laws on the moms side

Church people do it a lot, my mom at least likes to buy a bag of groceries just to give to random junkies, but at the cost of them having to listen to her preach about her religion for half an hour to them.

I can tell from their faces they find it annoying but I ain't telling her that, she feels happy doing it even if the junkies likely turn around and sell it as soon as she leaves.🤷‍♂️

I suppose so tho in Jp it might be a bit more cult-y but hopefully it’s usually safe

And it might depend on where you live but other than them also getting a receipt idk how many ppl are buying groceries from strangers versus the store versus them being like panhandlers and them buying something outta pity tho I do hear some Homeless ppl prefer getting change versus food in case it’s poisoned or a prank if not some YouTuber just filming for the clout

Well the thing with junkies is that they sell to other junkies, while drugs may keep the hunger away eventually they will get hungry, so they will trade for drugs, or sell to the homeless, use it for gambling, etc

However even knowing that, i have found out that deciding not to help someone in need out of distrust when you can help feels worse than helping despite knowing that they may just sell the food away, also not everyone who is in a harsh situation is necessarily on drugs

Personally i think giving someone a ride is a bigger level of commitment than buying someone a meal, i would rather help them get a travel ticket than have a stranger hitch a ride, specially if i am traveling with a kid

I feel like the intention on Page 1 was to make the translation a haiku as well, but sleepy has two syllables... Maybe 'one must be sleepy' would work instead?
