What happened to Amane? Why the gyaru is winning instead of Amane, his first close friend...
Nothing, she is with him like all the other girls. But this harem story is more like he spends time with each girl separately, not together. He goes with her to a fireworks festival and i think that's the place they kiss the first time.

The reason i wrote the gal is "winning" was because the story and stuff that happens with her. Him fighting the top tier assassin to protect her, and her actions towards him after that. She kisses him and doesn't hide that she loves him.

Maybe it was better for me to say that her and Amane are tied on top over the other 2 girls for now.

Just wanted to add to my previous post about the girls. After checking the latest novel chapter, seems like Kazu's harem is growing...
We get introduced to Mashiro Watagi, a soft and round girl, like a marshmallow (Kazu's words).
Kazu is encouraged by President Kocho to join a club, and after that we find out that he likes to draw and is very good at it. So he joins the Art club and Mashiro is tasked to be his senpai and teach him about the club.

Then we find out that she has a dipshit childhood friend like Kazu, who forces her to draw stuff for him (yeah, it's a guy). He walks in to club and starts to get angry at her for not finishing her work yet in front of Kazu. Kazu just by looking at him notices that the dipshit is a fighter, a boxer on a level of an Olympic athlete. He is not impressed and thinks to himself he can destroy him with ease. Then the dipshit gets cocky and Kazu uses one of his "abilities" where he projects a mental image of him beating the shit out of his target (he did that to the blond guy in ch2 i think). The dude is flustered but doesn't back down, so Kazu decides to go outside with him and beat the shit out of him for real. As they are about to exit the room Rua shows up to join the same club... Kazu's reaction is hilarious. "You little... (shit)" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I really like the dynamic between him and amane, and I'm glad he didn't just use her as a tool for revenge like I initially thought for a second. I know it's a harem manga but I really wish it was just them against rua, they have such good chemistry. at the very least I hope they don't introduce so many characters that some get over-shadowed.

I would love this manga if the dude isn't just a Gary Stu. It makes conflicts and issues feel cheap because they can just be solved by his plot armor. And we literally have no indicator that he's secretly this owerpowered hyperintelligent MC this whole time nor have any sensible explanation. What's next, he's gonna hack the entire Youtube backend to manipulate the algorithm so that his Oshi gets viral?

The premise is actually good, but it just doesn't work at all when the MC's that bland, brooding and OP. Remake Your Life anime criticized this trope where him doing everything and solving everything for the people he cared about leads to them being complacent, dependent and leaving no room nor incentive to grow. Leading to a future where all of them, except him, did not succeed.

Though with this manga being based on the light novel and the MC on that light novel is pretty uninteresting, I doubt they're going to change it. But what do I know, I'm just a manga reader. Probably the only reason this gets high ratings is that it's satisfying for the readers to shit on the rich bitch FML without a care for the quality of writing or the plot.
Dude... the ENTIRE premise of the story is that the stupid pig, or rather her family, recognized just what a diamond our MC was and effectively raised him to be the perfect counterpart for Rua while all the while keeping him in the dark about how exceptional he is and ACTIVELY SABOTAGING HIS SOCIAL LIFE TO KEEP HIM CHAINED TO RUA, who need I remind you, is the heiress to a massive zaibatsu and has been propped up since day 1.
This is not a zero to hero manga, this is a hero in the shadows manga. Yeah a lot of the shit he's doing it motivated to spite Rua but the main draw of the story here is watching other people grow to appreciate him and Rua crumbling as she realizes what she's lost.

Yup, the story can handle one more chapter as an epilogue and then I fear it will just be downhill from there. Also, the teenager taking on an army of adult thugs without breaking a sweat shouldn't be handwaved, that was just som bad writing.
dude put a sizable crack in what appeared to be a granite table by punching it. Also trained to act as a bodyguard from a young age. at that point, him looking like a teen is just bonus points. it'd be like trying to mug Mike Tyson in his prime but he he looks like fucking Urkel.

Goons used to attack people tend to train for the single job they have as well, often also from a young age. Nobody wants to hire someone that can only fight but loses every time.

hmmmm
Pretty ok story at the moment
Hope it gets more interesting
In my opinion the story would be better if he just does his own thing without managing new idols.

Also seriously, adding being able to beat up a whole force of trained security guard to the list of mc power kind of redundant no?
What’s next, he be able to hack government database (ngl this kinda seems plausible lul )
:lul:
Didn’t you read the first chapter? Kazu’s mentor already implied that Kazu is more or less a super human capable of ”rocking the whole world”. Even when he smashed the karaoke table it cracked the whole table, indicating that he has monstrous strength. Or how he teleported behind the student that tried to punch him, implying that he moves faster than what even the onlookers can follow.

Kazu isn’t meant to be portrayed as a normal kid. That’s the whole point of his character. He wants to be normal, because he is so extraordinary/being someone else’s shadow.
