'D-rank this', 'D-rank that', when clearly the rank means nothing in terms of power. It's something I dislike about a lot of fantasy manga that use 'guild ranks': a D-rank can be extremely powerful but remain a D-rank because they're new to the guild, or because they're comfortable with that position and don't want to rank up.

Hated the troupe of the strong should protect the weak as it is their duty. Remembered ruti the hero.
There's no problem with the strong "should" protect the weak, the problem is when "should" becomes "must".
If i had power i'd help people, but not because someone told me to, because i choose to, ruti's a situation of "must" hence why it's so disturbing.

Or when a rank up is tied to something you can't just brute force your way through. So being powerful wouldn't help. Like currying favour with people in power.

i think Guild ranks are useless here. it is just a matter of how much you get paid. higher rank better paid and bonus. but it doesn't mean they are stronger or smarter... hm.

As the MC says, it's a hassle that he doesn't want to deal with.

And we've seen that he will step up to protect others, he just doesn't want any accolades for doing so.

This pompous dickwad is getting off too easy. Where is the scolding to never look down on people just because of their rank??? The hero was talking as if he’s a god to ants, and yet he got shat on like a squished cockroach. C’mon MC, don’t let me down. I want to see you really lay into that shithead.

I suppose we’ll get into why our attack hero is so afraid of him but I REALLY hope he gets revenge for her.

Thanks for the translation!

I know I’m getting older I guess, but this selfish “I use my power for myself” trend gets annoying and sad. Even moreso when they help anyway, but when it’s almost too late to aura farm.

Yes, I know being a hero is lame now and people will try to abuse you, but just don’t be a sucker and let them.
