Somehow the term "Gods tongue" makes me reminds Shokugeki no Soma. Never finished that manga when it jumped into world domination schemes. Then I found this manga which despite the isekai setting was a lot calmer to take in.

Cope speculation : one of the "merchant" is the sister of the MC of Izakaya Gen, while despite not technically being a merchant (she's being a government officials iirc), she have THE chance of getting invited to the banquet. And stumbles upon Nobu. God i'd kill for that crossover

Iirc, ice wine was initially made by accident. They were grapes that weren’t picked in time during the harvest and got left out in winter. When the grapes were eventually dug out of the snow, it was discovered that the grapes were intact and when tried it was incredibly sweet.

If it's any comfort on not finishing it, that manga kinda....meandered a lot near the end. I remember not really enjoying the later 1/3rd or so of it. Which is a shame BC it's pretty unusual to have too many cooking manga go for a longer period.

I am glad nobu, campfire cooking and restaurant to another world are much more chill experiences though.

Curious to see what the dish will be, kinda looks like Japanese fusion beef stew to me.

I was a bit afraid of Ludwig Jr. approaching Hans, knowing how Taisho somehow got mentally affected by Ludwig Sr.’s comment, but I’m really happy that Hans is there to show what Aitheria became with the hambagu, ultimately proving Ludwig Sr. wrong about what Athenian cuisine is.
I hope Taisho won’t mind Hans collabing with Ludwig Jr. for a short while and will be happy with that.

The grapes used in Icewine lose moisture from being left out to freeze on the vine. That results in a concentrated flavor and thicker consistency. I got some when I was in Canada and it is certainly a treat.
