Not sure I fully understood the purpose of this chapter and I'm wondering if it's a translation issue.

Were they told to rely on the old hero's companions or to rely on their own companions? It reads like the latter but context suggests the former...

Either way, sounds like we're gonna add a fair and lamia to the group and I'm here for it. Maybe a minotaur mommy.

I don't really get it. So this person became a zombie and hung around for who knows how long just to tell the hero's descendants the names of the hero's party members? It doesn't really feel like anything was accomplished here that couldn't have been done with some labels on the mural or something.

…as a fourth generation hero
Hang on a sec. I think I skimmed through the previous chapters a bit too quickly. Fourth generation? As in, it's been less than 100 years since the time of the hero? Or does the "hero" part of the bloodline skip generations?

Here's the raw for the line, which does translate to

“Tell them to rely on my companions.”
『私の仲間を 頼るように言え」と

However, I changed it to "their" thinking the hero meant you shouldn't just try to solve everything on your own but try to work as a team with others to solve problems. (After all, the hero's companions are long dead)

However, with the line "Rely on the hero’s companions?" I thought it was talking about Rui or Sharo maybe? I was also confused about it and took what I believed to be the best translation. (I guess it's a miss translation)

They stuck around for 300 years to say the hero's companions were demi-humans and to win with the power of friendship...just saying it didn't have to be a meeting, it could have been a text.

Thank you for the explanation. I understand the confusion and appreciate your effort!

Yeah I definitely wouldn't have done it any better because I had similar thoughts. I thought he was talking about Rui and Sharo's companions too but then it sounded like they were going to seek out the hero's companions. So idk I'd imagine it reads awkward in the raw too ¯\(ツ)
