Azuma’s lovable but Kuji’s also fascinating in his own right: cool but a bit of a dork; aloof but also so deeply in love that he’ll keep space for Azuma even if it’s not reciprocated. The dude has the patience of a SAINT.Like dude's planning to buy a house azuma can comes to whenever he wants even though he could potentially has another partner at that time in the future.
I took it more as a loose poly type situation, kinda in line w/ how they've sorta both been loosely confirming to the other that they're not sleeping w/ other people. He doesn't even picture himself as azuma's partner in the future.
an exchanging rings episodei do want to see them calling each other boyfriends in the near future tho!
THIS - Azuma’s only just used the L word after all, let’s not scare the horses 😂 But I think this kind of understated gesture is very in keeping with their ‘nameless’ relationship up until now. Azuma tends to joke around or express things unconventionally (his ‘yeti’, his ‘reports’), so between this and the realities of his impending carer situation it makes sense for Kuji to go softly. But also I respect the reluctance to outright ask to live together
LOL WHAAAT 😂😂🤣i saw someone on twt imply that kuji still loves nukita-san and that azuma ‘deserves so much better’
LOL what are they reading?? I guess some people aren't used to stories that leave the traditional formulas. And maybe it's a black and white view as well. Some people forget that feelings aren't all or nothing.i saw someone on twt imply that kuji still loves nukita-san and that azuma ‘deserves so much better’
Hi! Is your pfp from no. 6?^^my two old perverts 🙂↕️
definitely agree with story645's take in that it feels like an implicitly thoughtful move on kuji's end given azuma's circumstances. it's also pretty in line with the trajectory of their hazily defined relationship so far: an open invitation, as genuine as it is non-binding (though it seems they're slowly closing in on that last part 😌).
the comfort of a loosely defined relationship is that boundaries don't need to be clearly drawn; stumbling and falling on sand feels safer than doing it on concrete if you get what i mean. both of them are getting older and the desire to go out and meet new people wanes, so fumbling a comfortable relationship like theirs by going too fast seems to be a genuine worry on their minds... a balancing act between the comfort the undefined can bring and the isolation that accompanies it 🫶
Hi! Who is your pfp? Thanks for the chapter!
The looks those two exchanged this chapter... I always appreciate when an artist is skilled enough to make expressions that truly reflect the feelings, be them of love or lust or whatever.

And I agree with you. Clear words are useful and needed at times, but those two have been indirectly communicating their feelings for a long time already. Rather than putting them on the same page, it feels more like a confirmation, a double-check.
But I'm here too hoping for the day they confidently introduce each other as "boyfriends" (or "partners" since that seems more likely) ever since I was reminded a few chapter ago that their relationship is still undefined lol. That said, I'm a sucker for romances that show long term commitment and this story is already more satisfying than many I've read that included proposals and marriages.
